The strike connects, the hunter sighing as he spits some blood onto the ground, "Do you truly wish to deprive your children of a parent that mu-" He starts, before a bolt of lightning crashes down into him, knocking him back slightly as an out of breath Serenity comes up behind theren

"Hi, hey." She says as the hunter gets up off the ground, "The kids told me you were up"

"Aye. So they did." he then looks at the hunter. "Their father already is one." he then attacks again.

The hunter coughs, looking very bloodied. His voice grows as a strange energy envelopes his blade, "I WILL BURN AWAY YOU FILTHY-" He drives the blade into the ground, a burst of energy emanating out of him

Theren glares, drawing his sword. It glows a bright blue as theren strikes at him.

Attack: 30 Damage: 30

*oof, 3 hp left*

The sword pierces straight through him, but theren feels his arm grabbed as the hunter pulls him forward, shoving the sword deeper through him, "If my life ends here." He grins, blood dripping from the sides of his mouth, "I'm going to make sure yours does too." He raises a hand, a small red bead forming in it

Therens eyes widen before yelling a curse. "SERENITY RUN!"

Serenity barely has time to react, diving away as a 4th level fireball goes off centered on the hunter (again, non lethal technically)

31, dex save if theren wants

*Eh, theren will take the full damage*

Alrighty, 31 fire damage to theren

Once the blast clears, all that remains of the hunter is his skeleton, the only part that couldn't be burned away, and his holy symbol around his neck

Theren is laying on the ground staring at the sky. "Ow...."

Serenity comes over to check if he's OK, "Jesus you're durable." She says gratefully

"Yeah. Only lightly crisped." he grumbles, sitting up. "Do you know where the kids are?"

"I left them inside... they should be ok."

Theren nods and hugs her. "I'm glad your ok."

She hugs him back, "You're the one being fireballed..." She says siftly

He breaks the hug and smiles. "I've had worse."

"Still," she laughs, "Oh! We should actually tell the kids you're ok"

Theren nods. "They might be hiding up in my room." he says as he stiffly moves towards the door.

Serenity puts his arm around her shoulder, helping him walk, "Ok, I'll heal you when we get there." She smiles

Theren nods and starts to walk upstairs.

She follows, humming softly

They eventually reach his room where Theren pushes open the door. He turns on the light and Cecilia and Nathan chage him and hug him tightly.

Serenity finds this adorable, leaning on the door frame with a smile

The kids detach from Theren then barrel towards her, hugging her as well.
