'Who are ya? My name's Flint, by the way. I live in this town'

"Town, civilization? This is incredible!" He unclips a notepad from his hip and begins to scribble in it with a pen. He looks back up at Flint, "Well, Flint, (another shaky exhale of excitement) It's truly an honor to meet you-. C-can you tell me more?"
'I mean, I don't really know too much about this place to be honest. Most of my time is spent underground, in the sewers'

"Sewers? Full infrastructure, so similar to ours, this is fascinating." he tucks away the notepad, reaches up to the center of his chest and turns on a bodycam, (flint prolly doesnt know what this is eaither, but he'd notice the blinking red light) "Well Flint, my name is Tucker." he extends a hand, "Do you know what a handshake is?"
'Yeah, I know what a handshake is!' He takes his hand, leaving a grimy stain behind on Tucker's hand

Tucker doesn't seem to mind, instead, he looks at his hand, amazed by the similarity of their separate worlds. "Well Flint, can you show me around?"
'I mean, sure, yeah, I'd be honoured to! This is Hi by the way' he points to the rat on his shoulder. 'He's one of my best friends'

'Yeah, rats exist! They're amazing little creatures, aren't they?'

'So resourceful, and intelligent, and tough. I kinda try to model myself on them. Ya ok? Ya look weirded out'

"Yeah, it's just-" a rope Flint hadn't noticed attached to a harness on his waist starts pulling, leading into the portal. "Oh, Flint!- I have to go back, thank you! I will return!" he goes back through the portal, and it collapses shut.
'Um, bye?'

The forest goes quiet for a moment, then returns to normal, all that remains is the burn marks on the ground.
Flint looks around for any debris

there is some loose dirt from the gravitational fluctuations, and, the knife Tucker had, apparently dropped.
Flint picks up the knife. If Tucker ever returns, he'll give it back. And if not, well, it will be worth something surely...

Flint heads back into town, stopping off in a couple alleyways to scavenge
