"I knew you weren't from the kingdom, I just didn't know where you were from. I'm a teacher, you see, for some of the most important people out there. By important, I mean their lives more obviously impact a large amount of people, not that anyone is more important than anyone else, you see. Common is such a frustrating language. Many of the words I want to use just don't have an equivalent.
"Enough of my rambling. What brings you here?"
"Yeah. Common is hard. But we have to persevere." He smiles softly "But a teacher, that's gotta be a toughie to do." He chuckles "Its stupid but I got discharged with dishonor because I disobeyed my commander's warning and went to go save my partner."
"Empathy is something not everyone develops. Even then, military training is supposed to cut it out of the brain. Personally, I think war is a waste of time, resources, and lives, but that's not to say I don't respect the people who fight them. In a perfect world, people would empathize with each other and try and understand what the other side is going through instead of just throwing bodies at the problem until one side can't keep going like this."

He thinks for a moment. "I cannot disagree with you. War is important. It may be terrible, but the suffering it can relieve can be more than the suffering it causes. It also stands as a deterrent, a possibility that most will want to avoid at all costs. But some do not see it that way. And that is why I teach. So that people will understand the consequences of their actions."

A young human walks into the village, a tan leather backpack sling over one shoulder. He stands at around 5'9, with dirty blonde hair that hadn't been brushed, pale skin, and a pair of green eyes laced with a deep crimson that peer past his bangs. Raphael walks over to sushi, sitting down. "So, how did it go? The recruitment and everything?"
"With Tristan?" Sushi shrugs, "I'd say it went fine, he'll probably be allowed into the main guild depending on how he handles himself in a heist. We'll send him on a mission soon. You can join him if you want?"
“I do not think so. I am busy enough with the new church of Helios, and whatnot. Just thought it might the Guild in some way.”
"Benefit? Hinder? Might the guild is missing a word bud."
