*He looks like a pale man with inky smears on his body and teeth with an iridescent sheen. He has silver eyes, gums, and fingernails. He carries an oversized umbrella to protect him from the sun, and he dresses like a 1800s factory owner*
"I got that reservation. We were supposed to celebrate our victory, remember? I'm a bit miffed that you went and died, but I've forgiven you already so there's no need to apologize."
Greg waves at them. “You alright sir?”
They nod thinking on this. “My condolences then for dying. Um… where is it?”
"You're not." (not a typo)
"Nearby. Groupercorp rebuilt an old restaurant I liked in the town. They have great pie."
"Soul binding to machines and Experimental Mechanics.' he says, standing back straight and ridged.
Yuri watches this all with a look of amusement on her face.
"Soul machines... that needs some innovation. And as we all know, discovery requires experimentation." He walks to his desk and writes something on a small piece of sturdy-looking paper that already has text printed on it. "Have any examples of your work?"
Yuri peers over to read it before moving behind him and hugging him like a clingy child.
Edward thinks for a moment and grins "Give me ten minutes and a pile of scrap and I can get something together for you."

Tidus senses Raphael's presence and looks around quickly, looking for his friend.
Raphael is sitting on a stump reading . Via Tidus’ true sight, they can see that Raphael is still recovering from death
Tidus bounds over and jumps on his shoulder. "My friend! How good it is to see you once more!"
Raphael smiles, petting them. “Indeed, same with you, Tidus. How has it been?”
"Lonesome without you here. I did miss you very very much." He says.
“Aw, why thank you friend. You have not made any other acquaintances besides me?”
"I have but you and I have similar life experiences so that's why I missed having a holy friend to speak too."
They nod. “Got it. Well have you wanted to talk about something specific?”
They shake their head "I simply want to live in the happiness of the moment." They purr
“I see” they say, sitting down, bringing Tibus to their lap, and petting them some more. “Do you like it when I do this?”
"Indeed.' he says "Petting and being petted helps soothes the soul and mind." He explains "You feel something comforting, like a purring cat, and your mind relaxs."
“I can understand that.” They say, before reflecting for a bit. “What did I miss?”

"I can assure you, nothing much. Lore was angry at Meroving... Uh, a fight broke out... That was it.'
"Demiurge. Big G. A creator god of darkness and monsters. He was a normal being about three or four universes back, but he got the ability to bring his laws of reality with him when he survived his own universal collapse. He has his own style of magic that involves burning his blood, called Nielle. In his true form, he's the size of the material plane in its entirety, so he has plenty of Nielle to share." Egregore explains casually.
"Ah.. scary fellow then. Best not to make upset." He murmurs. He waves a hand and a bottle of red tinged amber liquid appears. He pops off the cap, which is shaped like a coin, and smells it "Think he would enjoy any?"
"I'm sure. He has always had a thing for anything licentious, as it offends the Divine Light."
Crie is moving dramatically, almost dancing, as he weaves monsters out of the smoke coming out of the enormous bowl of flaming Nielle oil. The demiurge turns around. "More visitors. You seem nicer than the last party, though. Come to enjoy my fire?"

"You worship a god of light. Of the sun." He takes a deep breath through his teeth. "But... this Helios figure doesn't seem too bad. It still baffles me that anyone would choose light as their domain."
"That would be nice. Unexpected, surely, but nice."

It's a check. It's made out to Edward Merrymarkle, but it doesn't say how much yet. "Okay. There's a workshop downstairs. Come back with something brilliant."

It's a check. It's made out to Edward Merrymarkle, but it doesn't say how much yet. "Okay. There's a workshop downstairs. Come back with something brilliant."
He disappears down out of the room and down the hall. Yuri chuckles lightly "He is a good lad. Little harebrained but he built that Arcane Core I gave you."
"Poison's of the mind and soul." He says and gives their hand a squeeze.
Donn nods "Saw it from afar. Beautiful it is."
The Egregore cuddles Donn.
Crie smiles strangely. "The fire itself is beautiful in its own way, yes. But ah, my son, nothing compares to the beauty of this earth. Fire is the only light I can stand these days. Everything else makes me sick. Perhaps it's because fire is natural, and belongs to the earth, and not so often corrupted like the sun has become in its age."

"But of course. It is own, it is a stand alone compared to the sun. It's right here with omus rather than millions of miles away. It's natural, and is beautiful. It takes care of undergrowth that is killing the trees so new life can make way. It burns trees when lighting strikes the dried wood."
"I can assure you, nothing much. Lore was angry at Meroving... Uh, a fight broke out... That was it.'
"Mmm... and the spring entity that I have sensed existing?"
"Still here." He bristles a bit "It feels like a fire fight is about to happen when talking to her.'
"And somehow, I am not surprised..." They mutter, continuing to pet. "Anything else I might want to know? How has the Many of Helios been?"
'They are doing very well. Greg has been an outstanding leader from what I have seen but... There is an issue .."
Raphael flinches slightly at hearing this. “What issue?”
"A man by the name of Oswald has taken it upon himself to building houses for your people but he has forced it so if anyone wants to live there, they must work for him."

"Feh. Anyone who knows what light represents would be disgusted by it. I met the God (big G) of light once. The (gp)er tortured my spouse and made me watch. Stole my inventions too, I guess."
I just thought your wings were not supposed to be shared so openly. The diner isn't that far away (remember that lady whom Sytosc talked to just before Raphael died? It's her place.)
"You're not." (not a typo)
