Ede is in his apothecary, restocking items. His cat is sitting on his shoulder, purring pleasantly. Both he and the cat smell of bluebells and pine at the moment.
Lockett is grumping outside, setting about eight fires at one while throwing logs into them.
William is currently making lunch for himself, as the Red Plate is closed at the moment. The smell of barbecue fills the air alongside hot peppers, daggeroots, and sage.

He smiled "Thanks, and the truth? About what?" he asked and took another drag.
"I don't have to follow the laws of physics." He sneered, eyebrow raised.
“A lot of things. Government conspiracies, secret plots, and all kinds of other deceptions of higher powers. People don’t believe it because they don’t want to confront things outside of their lives. It scares them. But I don’t scare easily.”
You should. They exist for a reason.
He tilts his head, smiling. "You gotta lot of thoughts in that head don't you?" He asked and chuckled "Its not a bad thing, that's the nice thing about freedom, you can believe what you want."
"Nope!" He flicked his impish tail and grinned, baring sharp teeth.
“That’s nice of you to say. The problem is that a lot of other theorists are completely insane or very, very bigoted.”
Don’t smile. You expose your weakest points and imply threats by showing your teeth off.
"Mn, I just don't pay attention or care." he shrugs, messing with the cords on his hoodie "It's not a good thing but it's too much to care about."
"But a smile allows me to keep my enemies guessing and keeps my allies empowered to show I am in control." He chuckles and tilts his head, grinning.
“Oh really? If you’d like, I can elucidate ya.”

"Nah, I'm okay." he chuckled and set his cat down on the counter. "Whats your name?"
(Whats the Insight Roll for?) The impish creature grumbles and runs his clawed hand through his stark red hair "What do you want?" he hissed.
“Nainai. Probably just Nai. The second one seems unnecessary.”
*checking if Lockett is feeling threatened by them* We were merely breaking in a new body. You provoked us senselessly.
"Heh, okay then," he said and grinned "Sorry again for not knowing where the post office is."
He can tell that Lockett is not afraid, but rather annoyed. "Really? You were staring inna window. Thats kinda weird."
“Ah, it’s not a problem. I’m persistent. What’s your name, though?”
The spectral hands take over the signing. We don’t- Larry places a hand on their hat. -have any eyes. They lift the fedora, revealing their face. A gaping hole, rimmed with a dark, viscous fluid, is all that occupies the front of the head.
"My name is Edward Bellflower, but you can call me Ede." He chuckles, beaming "I own the Bellflower Apothecary, but that's probably easy to know beforehand." He laughs.
Now Lockett is disgusted, maybe a little frightened. He tilts his head, his impish ears flicking back and forth. "Imagine not being able to see." He mocks.

No news is good news…
I'll lay a white rose on the cold earth, knowing it that it has not claimed your soul.
The Prince in Yellow is wandering around the village.
You see a ragged figure sitting on a bench. They are dressed in soiled, tattered clothing that hangs loose on a skinny frame, but not much else can be seen. They are tossing out grain from a paper bag feeding the birds which happen to be harsh cawing crows rather than calm cooing pigeons.
"And why can't I? I could snap my fingers, and you will be gone. And what divine grace could stand in my way? What god is foolish enough to stand before me, in my kitchen, and claim that their will supersedes mine? This was never about you. I never asked your (GP)ing opinion. I don't give a (GP) what you've paid for this. It is my divine mercy that gives you the privilege to be driven before me and my chefs, cowering and praying. I ask again: Why. Can't. I?"
A man walks out of the water of a nearby lake, the water sloughing off of him as though he were covered in oil. He is perfectly clean, as demonstrated by his perfectly white clothes. He wears what at first resembles a chef's uniform, but any examination proves his style to be much more... eccentric. His right arm is completely covered by an ankle-length caqpe which doubles as a double-breasted chef's coat, complete with black buttons. His left arm is revealed under a military-style tasseled shoulder pad. His one visible hand has a white glove, something typically useless and detrimental in a real kitchen. His hat is large and puffy, but oddly it has a piece of cloth hanging over the right side of his head, covering it completely. In addition, the back half of the chefs hat is completely black for some reason. Even his shoes are asymmetrical, with the left being black and the right being white.

He tosses the bug into the air and catches it before it can get away. "These insects have toxic thorns. They can give it a spicy flavor when fried or roasted properly, but the fish know better than to go for them. That scrap should yield better results."

"Why thank you," The scarecrow's baggy coat and pants seem to be more patches and rags than the original cloth. He swings the fishing rod with excellent precision and the line arches gracefully in the air before landing in the water. The movement causes several dry flakes of straw to come loose. "I usually don't have much luck when trying to procure food."

"Your luck seems fine. It's your equipment that needs work. One of the hardest things to do is work without the proper tools. A rusty hook is far less likely to catch a fish than a pristine one, and without proper bait you'll rarely catch anything of value. Proper tools are expensive, however, so you'll need to learn quite a few tricks before you can get them."

A raggedly dressed fisherman watches you leave the lake. He holds a fishing pole in his stained gloved hands and crows flap about like seagulls at sea.
He grins and waves back.
"Yeah, you don't do a lot of anything do you." he chuckles.

Vittrosi watches, eyebrow raised in curiosity. He sheathes his sword quietly and walks over "Hello, and welcome."

The chef (if that's what he really is) turns his head, revealing his face, or at least the left side of it. He is very handsome, with gentle eyes, perfect skin, plump lips, and immaculately cared for green hair. "Have you caught anything good yet, friend?"

"Unfortunately no. Ain't nothing biting." He raises his gaze towards you to reveal the sackcloth face of a scarecrow from under his wide brimmed hat. A jagged mouth has been tightly stitched together and black button eyes watch you. "Just my luck."
The man turns, revealing his dark green hair and conventionally attractive face. He smiles warmly. "Thank you, friend." He bows. "I am Chef Auguste Barbaeu, former Executive Chef of the Gut, one of the finest eateries to travel the seas. How are you this fine day?"

We solve mysteries. We correct imbalance and injustice where we can. We also can catch bullets and throw them back at terminal velocity.
No news is good news…
I'll lay a white rose on the cold earth, knowing it that it has not claimed your soul.
"What bait are you using?" The chef reaches into his cape and begins to feel around for something.

He pulls up his line to reveal a soaked locust twitching at the end of his rusty hook. The giant insect resembles a grasshopper, but swollen and covered in a horny carapace. "This was the closest creepy crawler on hand."
The chef reaches out, holding a squirming piece of flesh. With a swift, almost imperceptible movement, he switches the bug for the living meat.
