"Nice to meet you, Serveo. I am Chef Auguste Douxchets Barbeau. I feel that meeting your Savior would not go well for me, but fortunately, I doubt that will happen. People like them are often too paranoid to leave their homes."
“You are right that he doesn’t often leave his towers, but he was once the greatest warrior god to ever live, and banished the Usurper from our civilization to save the lives of our people.”
"Hm. I do not respect gods for the merit of being gods. Now, is there anything you would like, Serveo?"
“Steak is a delicacy where I come from. Do you have cow meats?”
"Yes." He turns to get to work, then pauses. "The rest of the world finds beef an extremely common food. Good, but common. How is it that it is a rarity in your kingdom? What is your staple meat?"
“I have a hunch that I am no longer in the same world I lived in. We ate the meat of chickens.”

“I have a hunch that I am no longer in the same world I lived in. We ate the meat of chickens.”
"That would make sense. Chickens are easy to farm and don't require a lot of feed." He begins to pan-fry a steak.
"Oh, I'm sorry, I must have been making you uncomfortable." He walks toward them, the dirt somehow not getting on his perfectly white shoes. "I was just admiring your work."
Auguste stands behind him, smiling politely and holding a large bottle of what looks to be some sort of blood-based booze, with frost around the edges of the bottle. "I simply wanted to have a pleasant conversation. If now is a particularly bad time, I can come back later."
"It's fine." He said and nodded. Luci 'looked' up and waved, beaming "Hello!"
He raises a brow "No, it's not. Simply wondering what you are doing at my door." He chuckles.
"Hello! I am Chef Auguste Douxchets Barbeau. Do you happen to grow any vegetables?"
"I heard that you were the greatest chef in the area. I just wanted to meet a potential... well, you could be a competitor, but I would much rather be an ally. There isn't much point to disrupting another chef's position just for status."
He nods "They're kinda not from here but, yeah, I have some." He said and picked up Luci. She giggled and held Bun close to her chest "He grows all sorts of funny stuff!"
He tilts his head and chuckles "Ah, all that word of mouth. I am not the greatest, nor am I the best by any means." He says and stuffs his hands in his pockets "Just someone who wants to bring good food to the world."

"That alone makes you a great chef. A love for the art, even after you succeed, is a rare thing. Do you drink?"

"I have everything but what exactly are you looking for?" He asked, stuffing his hands in his pockets. Luci tilts her head, 'staring' up at him.
"Sounds good right about now." He says and opens to the door to Red Plate "Since your being nice, I'll make you something."

"Hmm... your best. Particularly cartilage cabbage, deathroot, and dredgeflower, but whatever else you deem a good example of your stock will do nicely. Money is no object. Of course, if you wish to test me in some way beforehand to show that I am worthy of your finest, I would gladly allow you to."
"Oh, I would be overjoyed to accept your food, but don't consider this me being nice. I'm simply respecting your authority in this situation. A chef is the only god in their own kitchen, after all."

"Nah, no tests. Just wanna know what your looking for." He chuckles and removes his nose bridge piercing. He picks up Luci again and throws it in the air. Where it falls, a garden suddenly springs up. Vegetables, fruits, medical herbs and much more grows here, vibrant and lush. He chuckles and picks up the piercing "Gotta have ways to make sure nobody looks for it so I made my piercing a key to a demiplane."
"Eh, we aren't gods. Even the gods aren't gods, just fancy immortal beings. No one is all powerful because there is always another powerful being somewhere else." He explains.

"Well now, this is not what I was expecting. I never thought of doing it that way. I should pay more attention to my suppliers if they're gonna be this... oh, wow..." He walks over to the garden, not stepping in just yet. He admires the lush vegetation from the edge of its borders, awestruck.
"But really, if I came into your kitchen without your permission, spat in your food, and raided your pantry, wouldn't that be blasphemy, in a sense? A kitchen is a sanctified area, and the chef is the ruler of it. Does that not make them a god?"

He chuckles "Thanks for the compliment. Yeah, this took awhile. I enjoy growing certain plants that can be used as medicine and for hallucinogenics." He says.
"Indeed." He said with a chuckle "But I think I would be more put out than angry. I want to do my best for my customers." He said and tied an apron around his waist.

"The response isn't the point. It's the sanctity. So, what do you plan on making, chef?"

"Ghost peppers? I would think that might overwhelm the dish, but I won't question your expertise."
"That one is Millqui. It's very strong in injected but harmless if smoked." He explains, grinning. Luci is playing with some flowers that look like spiders.
"If used in very little amounts, it doesn't. It can bring out other flavors in the dish."
