The man walked wearily across the seemingly endless purple horizon, holding tightly to the strap of his bag that hung from his shoulder. His body was weak and slow, and every step felt like a burden. The harsh desert winds had left marks on his skin, which were etched with scars and blemishes, reflecting the map of his struggles. His sunken eyes, once warm and brown, now appeared pale and lifeless. The emptiness of the landscape mirrored the emptiness he felt inside as he journeyed on alone and tired.
As he trudged forward, the ground beneath his feet seemed to shift and sway with every step. Floating masses of deep violet rock hovered beside him, casting eerie shadows on the ground. The rocks were lined with glowing gold fungus that illuminated his path ahead. Despite the beauty of the glowing fungus, he couldn't help but feel a sense of unease as he walked past the remains of an ancient civilization scattered throughout the area. The once-grand structures had been reduced to mere rubble, now scattered amongst the rocks like small, forgotten tombs. As he walked, the fungus seemed to brighten and pulse in response to his presence, as if it were alive and aware of his every move.
He sat on the edge of the marble platform, which was once adorned with a stunning statue of a legendary figure, now distorted beyond recognition. Sitting there, he pondered how the world had become this way. His thoughts drifted to The Sword, The Book, and The Chalice - the powerful artifacts that had led to this chaos. He couldn't help but feel bitter towards the gods who had allowed this to happen.
He reached for his canteen to quench his thirst, but as he unscrewed the cap, he discovered that it was empty, just like the last eighty times. He let out a quiet sigh, muttering to himself, "How am I not dead?" as he placed the canteen back in his bag.
Feeling the weight of his situation, he leaned forward, resting his face in his hands and closing his eyes. Suddenly, the back of his neck prickled, and he whipped his head up, looking around. He knew that feeling; something was telling him that danger was near and he needed to run. He rolled up his sleeves in a panic, and sure enough, he was right. His veins glowed beneath his skin. Lines of bright gold substances flowed beneath them, warning him of bad things to come.
He gripped his bag and slung it over his shoulder again, gathering his wits and courage, and continued onwards. He could feel something watching him, their teeth bared and hungry. He was too slow. Something knocked him to the ground, pinning him into the sand. He struggled, feeling the grains fill his mouth and nose. He was flipped over on his back, coughing the sand out of his system. There were three of them, dressed in thick black robes. Their eyes peeked out from under the folds, the whites of their sclera red and bloodshot. "LET GO OF HIM!!" They screeched, their hands pawing at his skin. "Please! I swear he was dead when I found him!" He said and fought them off, protecting his core. He could feel the stitches of his back and chest, the very thing holding this body together, being clawed at. He whipped his arm around, hitting one in the face and causing it to stumble backward. It cursed "GODDAMN BODY SNATCHERS!" it spat at him. As fear gripped him, he knew he had to run. The humans around him seemed threatening and violent, and he couldn't risk staying to plead his case. Who knew what they would do to him if he stayed? So, he took off, his heart pounding as he fled into the unknown. He needed this body, more than the dead man needed it. Besides, he was already gone when he found it.

Within the woods, the air seems to turn electric. Time seems to freeze for seconds before a doorway appears, made from purple light and arching violet lightning. From the doorway, a man is thrown out.
He is severely dehydrated and emancipated, his skin is fair but scarred and dirty. He tries to get himself up from the ground with feverish panic but ends up falling again, unable to even hold himself up.
He wears a blue button-up, a brown jacket, dress pants made from charcoal colored fabric, and black boots. A bag is slung over his shoulder.
