She nods and sits down at a table. She magically produces a kettle made from silver that is engraved with flowers of different kinds. She then produces tea bags from a box that has formed in her hand and two stoneware mugs.

The Hodmedod is sitting on a hill overlooking the nearby farmland. All the grass on the hill has withered and died, leaving behind the dusty surface of the earth. The Hodmedod sits on a rickety old school and holds a paint palette in one hand and a paintbrush in the other. A canvas is propped up before him. His flock of crows circle above him in their usual manner, filling the air with black feathers and harsh cries.
