“Let me get to my garden.” He walks out and comes back holding a tomato and cabbage, they don’t look perfect but they are good. He places them in front of him.
Flint grabs towards the tomato, then stops himself. 'Can I eat those?'

'I'm not dumb enough to turn down free food. Unless it's cheese in a mousetrap. Fell for that one as a kid, but then I learned how to disarm them. So, you run this tavern then?'

'A bard! Now that's pretty cool. I play lute, but not too well. What do ya do as a bard?'

'That doesn't sound much like a bard thing. I mean, I do whatever I find fun. Hanging out with the rats, they make good friends, playing my lute badly, getting excited over finding a coin some dumb guy dropped down a drain, going for a nice swim through the pipes...'

'Ugh, no. Rats are friends, not anything more than that! And anyway, flirting is kinda weird. So is, well, romance. I'm thriving on my own, don't need all that weird stuff. Surface-dwellers are strange like that'
