Scott is curled up against a tree. He is doodling inside of the book, having some semblance of quiet, as much quiet as his mind can be, after being temporarily separated from Khemet. He looks.... tired.
William is sitting on the roof of the tavern, reading a book on the history of Elvish Cuisine that dates back to the very beginning.
Oval is teaching her daughter, Soul, how to play chess in the tavern.
Loriche walks over to him. “Hey, look alive. You’re now my prisoner until I decide you’re not, so you might want to start talking.”
Thirteen is sitting in a booth and glances at this absentmindedly. He then does a double take, realizing that he recognizes Oval.
"I don't even know who you are talking about... Leo or whoever." He said, rubbing his temples.
Oval notices him doing a double take and grins, sticking out her tongue "What's good!" She grins and walks over, hugging him
“Suuuure. What do you have against him anyway?”
Thirteen accepts the hug, rather confused. “I could’ve sworn it was only three years since our last encounter… is my elvish perception of time really that warped?”
"I don't have anything against him because I don't even know him!' he snaps.
"Nah, we just grow fast." She chuckles
“…you’re positive? Absolutely positive? Swear on your life?”
“Oh. Well that’s interesting. How’ve you been?”
"Yes, I swear on my life." He says, rolling his eyes
"Daughter." She points over to Soul who is playing chess with Georgie.
Loriche takes her screwdriver off her belt and fidgets with it. “Well then I’m sorry. I’m just trying to help my friend out.”
“I gathered.” He watches their game with great amusement. “Anything else?”
"Noble of you but questioning everyone you meet will end up in more enemies." He said, standing up slowly.
"Wife." She points to a ring on her finger.
“Well I also put traps around Festus, so if I’m lucky that’ll get more results.”
He smiles warmly. “Congratulations!”
"Mn." He nods and thinks "Makes more sense than anything."
"Much thanks. What'd bout you? Hmmmm?" She grins.
“I just put them here because there’s already a few monsters and psychos anyway, and hey, maybe the saboteur would get sloppy.”
“Not too much… I had a few more theses published… I went back in time… I met a god… normal stuff.”

No news is good news…
I'll lay a white rose on the cold earth, knowing it that it has not claimed your soul.
*We already did Prospero... do you have some other character you'd like to play with, or should I choose at random?*
*Choose whoever you want, it doesn’t matter to me, I’m just content to rp.*
*I wracked my brain and I can't think of anyone who wouldn't just be bullied by Shredder, tbh, so...*
Cathan is watering his pepper plants with a bucket of blood. (I don't think you know him. Imagine a guy in a crude, cheap white-and-gold evening suit dusted with random spices and a headscarf that covers everything but his red eyes.)

*So you basically wanted to counter Shredder with Shredder. I respect it.*
Shredder’s presence is sensed nearby, and just as suddenly peppers begin to disappear, a crunching sound being heard soon after.

*This guy would probably die instantly in a head-on fight.*
Small problem. These peppers are explosively loud when picked, and ignite anything they touch unless prepared properly.
Given that a plant has about 16 peppers, let's just say that much fire and thunder damage.
Cathan looks around wildly, his burning red eyes panicked.

The smell of burning flesh fills the air as he continues to eat the pepper, although he does move away from his hidden position. He looks them in the eyes “Spicy.”

Cathan calms with unnerving speed. Shredder notices his dilated pupils. "Yes. Very. And equally psychoactive. Perhaps you should consider what you eat before you do so. Or don't. I get more money that way." He seems to be unarmed, but he does have a reinforced vest. By far more expensive than the rest of his outfit.
"Could always become an adventurer. Or a performer" he shrugs
*Ahhh the memories* "I learned from my brother too," he smiles, "I wouldn't mind challenging her when she's not busy. We could also do a match or two"
"Heh, no I'm not good at any of that unfortunately..." He says, chuckling.
"Wanna play dice with me till then?"
"Well what are you good at then?" he asks
He smiles and nods, "Sure!"
"Writing... Being paranoid... Stuff like that." He says, tying back his hair.
She pulls out a pair of six sided dice "Whoever rolls the highest number wins!"
"Could be an author. You got the looks to pull off the 'handsome troubled writer' trope"
He takes one of the dice, "Sounds like fun" he grins 5
He barks out a laugh and shakes his head "I'm already an author in my world..." He said "And I'm not handsome.."
2
"See? you've got the experience for it" he grins
"I think i win this round" he smiles
Scott chuckles and shakes his head again.
"Darn, I was hoping luck would be in my favor!"
Tycho smirks, leaning against the tree
"We could go again, maybe you'll win this time." he says happily
He hands the book to Tycho "Does this even make any sense to you. I've been working on it for the last week or so."
"Sure!" She rolls again 4
He takes it, flipping through the book
He hums, rolling the dice 1
It's mostly a pretty fluent story about possibly everyone he has encountered in some way but it goes off the rails in some spots about butterflies and a 'disease'.

He looks at Cathan’s eyes, trying to read him mentally and emotionally while picking the rest of the peppers, eating all of them too before wiping the blood off of his helm “You won’t make any money from me. If you try, I’ll have to bury you in this garden.”

Cathan's emotions and very soul seem to be blurred. Controlled in a way that Shredder has not seen in a sane individual.
