The meat fries with unnerving speed despite the low heat. He plates a breaded fillet for her. "Doppelganger schnitzel. I've got a couple different sauces. I find avocado hot sauce to be the best for this type. Doppelganger is a weird meat, and I don't usually work with it, but he tried to eat me first, so we're all good here."
"Oh, I've had this before. No hotsauce please, makes my skin tingle." She says, taking a bight of the fillet
"An adventurous palate! Or perhaps just a common dish where you come from. Either way, I'm happy you're trying it."
Cook's utensils: 27+7+8
She lets out a happy hum, finding the dish delicious
Prospero walks over and pours out a bit of his own drink. As usual, it's heavy whipping cream.
Once the ritual is finished he picks the ashes, putting them into his cup “Another lost, never to be found.”
"I wish I could be of more help. These flames are hotter than anything I ever had to face before. I can resist some of them with my Bitterburn Oil, but they run me out of power so fast I'm not sure I can fight them all."

"So, where you from?" He begins to polish a glass.

“Don’t worry about taking them down, if I’m the strongest then it’s my responsibility. It’s my job to use my flames to protect everyone from theirs, until we can find a cure this is all we can do for them.”

She looks down at her feet for a moment, seeming to think, "I've been in town for a couple years now."

"My best guess is that it probably has something to do with their emotional state. I'm guessing most people don't survive to give testimonies of what happens right before, though. I'm seriously hoping I'm wrong."

“People who were determined enough were able to survive the process seemingly unscathed, but not everyone has the will to resist the flames. It possibly is something more than simply that, but that is a factor indeed.”
He pours it for her and slides it over. "So, who was he?"
She points up as in 'just a sec' before opening the bag. Inside is the severed head of an elf "Some a**hole who thought I was an easy lay"
*AHG I keep missing posts...* "Hm. Honestly, I'm not sure why so many people think sex is worth dying for. I don't really have a leg to stand on though, since I'm willing to face death for a good meal."

"Huh. That's bad. Society was not built to keep people happy and sane and willful."

Reese barges into the tavern and throws a bloody burlap sack on a table before sitting at it
Felix looks over. "You know, I'd really appreciate it if you didn't make messes like that."
"sorry, he p*ssed me off" She says, shrugging "Where's Big Momma?"
"No clue. She hasn't been here for a while now. Maybe she's off with her boyfriend." He plates a doppelganger schnitzel for Reese.
"Ahh, okay. A drink, please. House ale."
He pours it for her and slides it over. "So, who was he?"
She points up as in 'just a sec' before opening the bag. Inside is the severed head of an elf "Some a**hole who thought I was an easy lay"
The girl eating next to her looks over and whistles, "Clean cut, not bad"
She blushes and rubs her cheek "Ahhh, thanks~ Im yours for the night for a nice meal, if ya want!~"
She tilts her head curiously, "Well I wouldn't mind paying for your next one. Eatings always better with company"
"Well, sure~" She says while stuffing the head back into the bag and bringing it, as well as her food and drink, over to the table where the other girl is. "My name is Reese."
"Mary, atleast that's what I'm going by" she says with a warm smile, offering her hand
