Cerberus has cracked out his old Dragonchess board and is playing against a winter Eladrin with multiple fairies screaming horrible advice at him.
Sylvan is teaching a young satyr how to ethically farm Eladrin roots.
Ternikus is cutting down Creaking who walk too close to the tavern begrudgingly.
However, somehow a Creaking has found its way into the cellar.
Thirteen watches the game with mild interest.
Mauric enters the cellar with his glaive, sighing. “They don’t pay me enough for this.”
Cerberus moves a sylph from the top to middle part of the board to capture a unicorn, to which the Fairies yell, "He can take it! You idiot!" The Eladrin however does not. "If I do, My dragon is vulnerable."
The second it realizes you are watching, it freezes and close its 3 eyes, appearing as a simple statue.
“Well, if you hadn’t taken the pawn he left dangling five moves ago, you would have never been in this mess to begin with.” He comments.
“Okay buddy. Just leave and we won’t have any trouble at all.” He says, poking the statue with his glaive.
Cerberus looks away from the board and smiles at thirteen, before moving his basilisk which allows the Eladrin to move his mage to catch the Sylph. "That was not the best move buddy. And you have no right to be judging me. This man has no tell. How was I supposed to know he had a plan for it. He was building a Vecna's fort play. That pawn would have been useless."
The moment the glaive makes contact, particles of magic fly off and through the open window, all the way to the decaying forest. Soon enough, they return, and the Creaking opens its eyes and swings at Mauric.
“I was just making a minor observation to myself. I apologize.”
”Whoa!” Mauric ducks and scampers up the staircase.
Cerberus moves his Hero to capture the Eladrin's mage, leaving them aghast. He then cast some sort of spell and a sound somewhat like a voice booms that everyone can hear. "IT is FIne. YOu SAW mY trick. I AM IMPREssed! Also sor... ee that THIS SPEEch is Bro... En. THIS is a NEW TRick. I HA... no toongue."
It chases him, but right as it's about to go through the passage and attack again, it freezes again, standing directly in the doorway.
Thirteen merely continues watching, not wanting to cause aggravation.
“Huh.” Mauric shoves it back down the stairs, attempting to damage it in the process. Strength: 8

I'll lay a white rose on the cold earth, knowing it that it has not claimed your soul.
Out, in the alleyways of the township, a woman sits in gutter. She has long brown hair, pretty features, and wears a shoulderless red blouse and black jeans. She is curled up in the cold, hugging her knees to her chest.
A beautiful high elf enters the tavern, humming to herself pleasantly. She has long, wavy white hair, pale blue skin, and long pointed ears that are pierced with silver. She wears a white blouse, a brown leather corset, and a long brown skirt that sweeps the floor. Across her shoulder she carries a carved birch lute.
Klei is walking quickly through the streets, trying to avoid attention.
Thirteen is at the bar as usual, studying a diagram of a glabrezu’s nervous system.
She looks up, tears streaming from her eyes. She wipes them quickly, trying to at least look somewhat okay.
Allison takes a seat at the bar and spins around in her chair, smiling brightly. She pulls out her lute, lightly playing a tune that begins to make the air around her seek to sparkle a bit.
Klei notices her while walking by, and turns. “Are you alright?”
Thirteen sits up slightly at the sound, recognizing it. “Don’t I know you?” He asks curiously.

“Okay… but I still think it’d help. Couldn’t hurt, at least.”

The Eldarin realizes what's about to happen and tries to move their king, but Cerberus points out they can't move there as their Elemental can take that space. Defeated, they moved their second unicorn to capture a warrior. Cerberus then makes his final move, moving his Griffin and checkmating them.

She shakes her head "No?.. maybe?.. I have no idea anymore."

Whoever chooses to investigate sees a pale, black haired teenager with bright red eyes. She looks extremely fit and is covered in various kinds of scars. She's frantically gathering red and white painted wooden balls that seem to have fallen with with her.

“It probably won’t hurt. Thanks Mauric, you’re a real hero.” He pats his back, smiling at the cake.

"I'd rather not."
“Do you want to talk about anything else.”
"I never asked to talk."
“And yet we’ve been having a wonderful conversation.”
"Wonderful is a bit of a stretch"
“What would you call it? Pleasantly Mediocre?”
"Exactly."
“I suppose my conversational skills need some work then.” He chuckles.
"Mine as well. I often avoid conversations." she appears lo lick her lips but bite her tongue back
