Thirteen is poring over books on the origin of the multiverse.
Mauric is making a necklace out of his old chain mail shirt.
Loriche is still trying to make a shotgun.
Riotan is eating live eels on the porch.
Charlie (I can give a desc if needed) walks over in an ambling stride, as if they didn't have anywhere in particular to be so they decided to have fun just walking. "From one demonic cult leader to another, you're looking snazzy. Have you ever had those things jellied?"
"Yeah, I was. Me and a friend of mine were in the woods one night. I found an old mirror in a cabin, and... well, you can probably deduce what happened from there. After that- the next thing I see is that I'm here... like this."
"i'm guessing that friend was Omori"
"...Omori? No, I... if I'm remembering right, Omori was... someone else. My friend was... was... huh, I can't recall her name."
"it may come back to you with time"
"Hopefully. I just hope she's alright... wherever she is."

"You've probably felt the presence of most of them. An aversion to salt and garlic, for example. The main weakness you have is a simple one, though. Most Spectres have something called Spiritual Armor, which gives a sort of protection against direct damage. The First Traitor has none, other than on her claws. She doesn't even have natural regeneration. She can recover from any injury, but it takes time, and you need to pursue your intent frequently enough for you to align more often than not. Be careful. Normally running water would just stop you, but with your state, it would physically harm you. If you get a bad feeling about something, it might be the Traitor trying to communicate. She has no voice, so she has to talk through... vibes, I guess."
He scratches his head. "Be careful with your speed. Your claws may be as strong as adamant, as you've demonstrated, but the rest of your body hasn't been so enhanced."
"So, I'm fast and strong, but frail? Understood. I just need to be careful... only pick fights I know I can win... yeah, I can do that." She stands up to her full height, readjusting her sunhat before collecting her treasures in her long arms. "One last question: Why did you help me become...well, this? Is this power-granting something you do often?"
"I have a lot of reasons, but I do in fact do this often. The easiest one to explain is that helping people a little at a time gets me closer to changing the world permanently. The universe is painfully unfair, so, as I say, frequently, I cheat in order to rebalance it however I can. I believe the only people who deserve to be exempt from these cruel and worldly laws are those who refuse to break them on their own. I have my ulterior motives, like every person who does good, but they mean almost nothing in the face of fixing the world."
Thet stand up beside her. "Revenge isn't my only specialty. I can grant almost any kind of success with all the Spectres at my disposal. Feel free to call me, like I said."

I'll let you know if any of them want Spectres of their own. Thank you again for everything. I'll likely see you again soon." She gives a sort of bow before using her unnatural speed to begin shambling towards the Inn, only visible for a brief instant before they vanish from view. She blazes a path through the undergrowth of the forest as she moves away and out of sight. After a few seconds, all is silent in the area around the now destroyed Fell Manor.

Maybe a little too much honesty on my part, but that's not a bad thing if I've already chosen a proper Spectre. I hope I can keep working with her in the future. She's even taking it upon herself to bring me more subjects. Everything is going even better than I had planned."
