*A child who kills their own dog and doesn't understand what they did wrong is innocent in their eyes. Charlie is kind of scuffed. They're intended to be the major villain for my current manga concept.*
"I think I'll keep you for now, while you're vulnerable and soft. It's not like your Spectre would grant me much use."
She makes a 'Ksksksks' sound and giggles, hugging him and refusing to let.
They don't fight her. Their strength is unlikely to be greater than hers anyway.
“Well, once I left Cordon Bleu, I learned druidic arts in Massif Central from a druidic circle called the Rowan Ring. I used the magic I learned to enhance my abilities in cooking and also help with hunting. But they kind of, ah… kicked me out. So my use of metal armor was meant to signify my disorder to the old ways.”
It just barely misses. Klei backs away quickly, terrified.
He nods a long, trying his best to listen along with the monologue "That sounds like there is more to that story than you told me, but I don't need to know all that, its in the past now anyway. It's good to keep a momento though."
He curses loudly "Dang I've gotten rusty, wherever you are, either stop hidin' now, or I'll find ya the hard way."
“Yeah. Also it’s just good armor. But I’m saying goodbye to those days. I used to be a very different man once…”
Klei begins running.
"We all used to be different people a long time ago, if you can believe it I used to be a pirate. That's where I learned to cook."
He hears the running and begins sprinting after them. *Opposed Dex checks to see if he catches them?*
“Oh, I can believe it.” He takes another handful of metal rings and continues to braid them together. “Thought it was either that or bushranger or something.”
Dex: 26
He laughs heartily “And here I thought I’d surprise you with that one, do I just give off that kind of criminal vibe?” He says, stirring another bowl of flour with a grin.
Yeah, they escape from him, although he does keep up for longer than most would except from someone currently blackout drunk.
Stroth is lying on the roof, drunk out of her mind. She giggles a bit, which would be cute if it weren't so darn demonic.
Allison is outside, mending a tear in her skirt. She is rumbling about how she should've just learned the cantrip to fix it but didn't.
Alix is humming to himself while eating his third lunch of the day.
Loriche is making her way through the outermost layer of wood and sees Allison. She casts mending at her.
Allison hisses in surprise as the cloth mends itself, looking around, now a bit confused.
Loriche waves from the tree line and starts to continue on her way.
She raises a brow but waves nonetheless.
Loriche heads over to her. “Sorry. Probably shouldn’t have meddled. I didn’t mean to trouble you in any way.”
"No no, it’s fine. I thank you for it actually because it would've taken me hours to fix it."
“You’re welcome. I’m Loriche va Bental, by the way.”
"Allison Vanderguard, a pleasure to meet you." She bows "I wish I would've learned that magic if I am being honest.. seems useful beyond imagine."
“It’s useful, but unfortunately only for small stuff.”
"Yeah, true." She nods and sighs "Well thank you anyways."
“No problem! I try and help people when I can. Mostly that’s by fixing their tools or enchanting them or something. Very helpful to farmers and stuff back in the day.”
"You make tools?" She asked and pulled out her lute which has a few broken strings
“Ma’am, I pride myself on being the greatest smith in this forest for the past millennia. I can make more than tools.” She casts mending again repeatedly, each string snapping back into place.
She takes on shot after another, leaning back in her chair "No no seriously! You are... Interesting? Is that the right word?"
"Heh.. I'm not wise.." she said, fidgeting with her rings "Just know a thing or two.."
He chuckles again, still hiccupping "I don't- Hic- know. You're more cool than me, you're a -Hic- [gp]in' archdevil. I'm just some guy."
He holds her tight "You're wise and smart and pretty, I should write a song about you."
"I'm not am archdevil silly! I'm just.. me." She pats his shoulder.
She blushes, stammering a bit "I-I'm not any of those things."
He lets it happen, hammering back another before saying “And you are am- Hic- amazing.”
He continues “You are like a field of flowers, you make me appreciate living more every day.” He says, beginning to play again, deciding on the melody of the song about her.
The Demon chuckles. "I've heard quite the horror stories about you from the spirits. An exorcist, a summoner, a, dare I say it... occultist. Welcome home, dear friend. How long we've all been waiting."
He grins slightly "So my reputation proceeds me, interesting. Unfortunately yours does not proceed you well enough for me to know who you are. I hate to ask, but who might you be?"
"I have many names, much like you. Most of them are inaccurate and irrelevant, so you should probably call me Charlie. For the sake of clarity, I am sometimes called Executor, Panopticon, or even Butcher. But I am an occultist, much like you. I study my kin, the Spectres, and have specialized in curses for a long time. I've discovered how to turn banes into blessings, and how to destroy evil spirits instead of just banishing them. Unfortunately, my research is frequently stolen and misused. I made a lot of the standard occult practices relating to curses and Spectres, not that my name is on any of them."
He rubs his chin “Hmm, as a fellow researcher of the dark arts, things considered beyond what should be known, I understand your issue and suffer from a similar issue myself. I have decided anything I learn, I do not write down in a place others than I can access, using my own expertise to conceal my revelations.”

She is red as a tomato, hiding in the blanket "Okay okay!" She hisses, fiddling with her hair.

He can barely keep his eyes open at this point “You’re amazinger than I am. You are so so cool.” He blinks slowly.
He laughs genuinely and moves his hair from in front of his face as he smiles down at her, sighing as he holds her.

Remember that thing I said about banes? Hexes are spiritual wounds where I come from. They weaken and debilitate their victims. I codified them and started research into deconstructing and categorizing the elements of a Hex, and people just wanted to know how to make them. It took months, but I discovered a way to invert them and create blessings. But no one knows this, and they throw around Hexes like they're nothing with no way to heal the stronger ones. No one cares to learn my true techniques when they have easier, simpler options."
