“But Humor doesn’t kill anyone either, it’s better to laugh than to not my friend.”
They seem to look through the armor to all the skittering bugs, their eyes darting around “Bugs… lots. Wow.” They smile, their plastic face shifting. O
"Mn, I have to disagree with you there." He tilts his head "But everyone has their own opinions."
He doesn’t resist, tucking himself into the covers “Apparently Domino wants to go to Vanderbilt, she’s going to be amazing.” He says sighing.
He gives her a friendly wink “Not half as beautiful as you.” He says, picking a red Lilly, putting in on his gi.
He laughs again “Dragons have to be strong Lilac, but if you ever want a meal, come to me.”
"She'll do wonderful, sweetie. Rest now." She says, whispering gently into his ear.
"Oh, uhm, thank you.. I have a boyfriend..." The white lilly wilts, and stops floating.
"I'm strong, just.. young.." She says, puffing out her chest. "Thank you, unc..."
He closes his eyes, going to sleep with a smile.
He stops, raising an eyebrow “Obviously, do you think I’m interested in you? Do people not give compliments around here?” He says, tilting his head.
He smiles, picking them up and hugging them tight “You are strong, and you’ll only get stronger.”
"No, i'm sure they do, sorry... thats a me problem, not a you problem.." She says, looking down at her lap.
She chuckles softly, hugging back. "Thank you... I just wish Sil saw that side of me.."
“Don’t worry about it, you’re pretty, it makes sense to think I’m trying to flirt with you. Your boyfriend must be lucky.” He chuckles
He puts them back to the ground, beaming “Sil will see that side of you, and they probably already do.”
"Thank you, Shen. You're not half bad yourself. in a friendly manner, of course."
"I hope so..." She says, picking the bowl back up, finishing it quickly, but quietly.
*sneaking this in here, ahem-*
Domino enters the tavern, covered in many small to medium cuts.
“Happy to hear that, not many of my coworkers like me, but that might be because I’m higher rank than them.” He stands up, stretching, more flexible than anyone would except.
He sighs, cleaning the bowl “You know they care about you, just know, you’re young, they don’t want you getting hurt.”
What appears to be a teenager walks into the tavern, they are wearing a black school uniform with some customizations, like some purple detailing on the jacket. They have slicked back black hair, and sharper features, they have a war hammer on their back, looking strong despite appearing only 18, they also have a strange pouch on their belt. Their eyes are an electric yellow, looking around the place.
"Oh, what do you do for work?" She says, genuinely interested.
"Yeah.... Thanks unc, I'm gonna go back to my sun-spot, wanna join?"
As soon as she takes sight of the man, a low purr escapes her throat. She approaches him, not exactly looking the best, as she's covered in splashes of blood. "Hello, you new in town?"
“You can call me… a pest remover. It’s hard to explain really, do you have the time?”
He smiles “Why not, I’ve done my workout already, I’d be happy to absorb the sun with you.”
He looks to them, his face like stone, softening at the sight of her for a moment. He nods, his voice calm “Yeah, did you know you’re covered in blood?” He says, pulling out a handkerchief, handing it to her.
"I do, actually." She says, turning to face him
"Perfect, let's go!" She says, shifting back to her feral form
"I just got back from a bounty, but.. no, thank you." She takes it, smiling, wiping the blood off of her face.
He is doing a handstand, “Okay, basically, everything you know isn’t real, there are actually creatures that exist that are the concepts you know. Like Burn being fire, or Galaxy being space. I make sure they don’t destroy the world.”
He follows after them, shifting into his own dragon form, flapping heavy wings.
He puts the handkerchief back, nodding “Cool, you’re a bounty hunter, nice.” He walks over to take a seat “You know what’s good here?”
"Oh, interesting.."
She dashes to the sunny spot behind the tavern, giggling.
"I know everything there is about this town! My mom owns the tavern, runs it with my dad, and is the best cook in town, seriously." She says, walking along with him, pulling a menu from somewhere (pocket dimension) and handing it to him.
“What can I tell you, I have an interesting life.”
He lands, making sure not to crush anything, or take up the entire space, immediately radiating warmth.
He takes the menu, smiling, she feels a bit of static when their hands get close. He looks through it “That’s cool, you must have an amazing family if the food is best in the town, also your horns are cool too. Do you have a recommendation?”
She blinks "Honey... I am your mother... What in hells name out that idea into your head that I am not?" She asked, looking a bit concerned.
"You're the mother who laid a black egg, abandoned it for 12 gold pieces and the knowledge that you had a kid somewhere out there, and also you just randomly decided to come find me??" She says with a slightly bitter tongue. She huffs sparks, leaning back in her chair.
Suddenly, she stands up, tears rolling down her cheeks "I never abandoned you!" She runs to her bedroom and shuts the door.
Lilac watches, that's all she can really do now. She can't bring herself to do much more, not after hurting Okigaro's feelings, so she sits there, a whimpering mess.
After a moment, Okigaro steps back out, trying to compose herself "If you really hate me that much... You can leave. I won't stop you honey."
"I don't hate you! I just really don't think you're really my mother, but that doesn't matter to me, i'm willing to love you the same either way!"
She huffs, folding her massive arms "This hurts me child..."
"If you really are my mother... I just need proof... and then i'll believe you..Believe me, this hurts me too..."
She disappears into the back room and walks back, now holding a framed pictures. It's of lilac, about in their early toddler years.
Isaac is slumped against a tree with his jacket partially on fire. Pieces of partially melted metal are strewn about the area with some a good distance away
Xan races over, smothering the flames with a wave of his hand. He snaps his fingers in Isaac's ear "Hey.. hey wake up?"
He groans and looks at Xan "what happened?"
"Heard a bang but that's was it, could've been an explosion." He shrugs and picks him up.
He sighs "it was probably an explosion. [gp] project backfired"
Xan curses in infernal and sighs "You okay?"
"i'm not sure"
He sighs and sets him on the sofa in the tavern.
Isaac winces as he is set down

“You… amazing. So… many… yous.” His hand seems to move through them, poking at the bugs softly.

"That's a big deal, Shen.. you must make a lot of money."
she sighs, curling up in a random spot, getting comfy.
She groans under her breath at the static, but ignores it. "My parents are amazing.. Oh, thank you" She says softly, her horns glowing a bit as she flushes. "Well, I know it's a bit late, but, my mom makes a killer omelette. And if thats not your style, you cannot leave without trying her lasagna."
He shakes his head “Not a single cent, I do it more for the world than anything, and to fight strong people too.”
Rag wraps around her, as they begin to rest in the sun. *That feels like a good end for that.*
He nods, giving an order for an omelette “Thanks, I wouldn’t have gotten anything without someone telling me to.” He also orders a water for himself, “Do you want anything, I know you could get it for free, but I just feel like using my money on something worth it, you know?”

"Sure. what do you want?" he chuckles.
"They are.. last of.. their kind as well.." he explains.
He looks up and hands it the napkin. "May I have the spinach and egg-drop pasta soup and a glass of ice water to start with?"
"Oh, yes. I'm something of a great-great-great uncle. He doesn't know me. As far as the family knows, the fey are still enjoying my sacrifice."
Tears run down from his hidden eyes as he eats, slower this time, savoring each bite.
It takes it and nods, smiling "Of course! I'll be right back.'
"Huh... Smaller.." he tilts his head from side to side.
She watches and chuckles "Ya alright honey?'
The strugel simply sits there, waiting. The napkin doesn't actually have his order on it, just the words: DO THEY KNOW?
"What do you mean by that?" He sits down.
He nods, the tears flowing even faster. "Thank you... for being here. Not everyone has a mom like you."
William looks over the napkin, his skin begins to rot a little, bits falling to the kitchen floor. He crumples the napkin, gathering his composure, and begins to make the food.
"Smaller species... But bigger in everything else."
"Exactly honey, which is why I am here for everyone. No matter if ya is big or small, good or evil, everyone needs a mother."
“What can I tell you, I have an interesting life.”

"Wow..." She says, genuinely surprised. "That sounds fun"
*agreed*
"I'll put it on my tab, I already owe my mom like, a 100gp..." She says, clicking her tongue and sauntering off to get his order.
“Yeah it’s really fun, but last I went out for a mission the entire Roundtable almost died to one man, strong guy, want to fight him again.”
He puts down a money pouch “This probably isn’t enough, but there’s about 74gp in here, I think. I haven’t counted in a while, and I’ll get more money soon anyway.” He takes one of the coins, beginning to spin in the palm of his hand.
