“I have a counter-offer, Prince. We can find you a home in a different world, perhaps one whose mortal population is already doomed. How’s that sound?”

*Heh, this leads to some interesting ideas for where to put Carcosa. I did make a world called Korilia a long time ago that was ruled by an eldritch evil called the Lord of Sorrows — it’d be interesting if instead of the Lord of Sorrows the world was ruled by the Prince in Yellow. Of course, Korilia is a pretty miserable place to live either way, but it’s a fun train of thought.*
*Maybe Prince could go in Fether or something, lol.*

*thanks! I was reading some stuff about it and suddenly had an idea when I remembered that Carcosa was described as lost and dim, so I decided that if there’s a king, there could also be a prince. A prince who’s trying to save Carcosa*
*ooh that would be super cool! If the Prince did take over Korilia, they would basically just try the best they can to make it a good place to live. For the Residents of Carcosa, at least.*
*That's pretty cool. I loved that old Carcosa tavern that Baalzeboop made a while ago. It would be cool if it was resurrected. Did you ever read the Inhabitant of Carcosa? It is an even older short story that had to have inspired the King in Yellow. That could be a good thing to research.*
*In the original lore the people are trying to rebel against the Lord of Sorrows, with little success. It was pretty much just a simple Domain of —*
*WAIT DOMAINS OF DREAD! RAVENLOFT! That’s perfect!! You could have a whole storyline about the Residents of Carcosa planeshifting through the Domains, trying to fix them and sometimes attracting the anger of the Darklords. That would be sick.*

*ha that would be perfect! I do also eventually want to include some plot line with the True King in Yellow Itself, because it’s sort of the Prince’s enemy. I mean, they never fought or any thing. The king would win anyways, but the King, as the Prince mentioned, is directly opposing the Prince because it refuses to help and is instead being angry and vengeful. But yeah the domains of dreads would be perfect!*
*oh and if you were wondering exactly how powerful the Prince is, they couldn’t really yet be considered a great old one, but they’re pretty close. Imagine like a more fragile but just as heavy hitting greatwyrm*
