Samaritan is outside the tavern, harvesting some sort of strange root from the ground that glows pure white. He hums to himself as he does, chopping the leafy parts off with a knife and throwing them aside.

*I wanna bring Barbeau to meet Samaritan, but they already met and I felt like an idiot the entire time due to how bad it was going. Is it okay if we retcon that?*
*Course! :D*
*Yay!*
The air grows colder around Samaritan as a tall, pale man diverts from his path to the tavern. He has dark eyes, rigid posture, and skin the color of a dead fish's belly. He is not dressed for the cold, but for presentation. All white, pristine and pressed, designed to be something between a chef and a sea captain. He leans to the side slightly to get a better look at the root. "I am not well-versed in terrestrial vegetation, but I get the impression that is not normal."
"Agreed. With what you said, they seem like prime suspects. Jury's still out on whether or not they're in cahoots with the Archduchess- the absence of guards up till now is certainly suspicious..." She continues to take notes.
“Oh-“ he starts. “I hadn’t thought about the archduchess a lot… i mean, the person she was with saved my life…” (Felix)

"You said you wrote some less-than-flattering things about her in your paper, yes? Maybe they both wanted you gone. The person with her probably either didn't know, or was a saboteur." She flips to a new page of her notepad, the previous one covered in notes and possible questions.
“That… actually makes a lot of sense... But Archduchess Aurelia, she’s never been involved in anything of this sort in her entire history… and she’s been the Archduchess of the rippling court for… 498 years at this point? I mean, it’s possible…”
"...maybe they took personal offense and lost their temper? Having something this sketchy-looking happen in her own theatre during an event she hosted would certainly give the Court the wrong kind of reputation- and she either knows this and has ways of dispelling the tension, or more likely... the plan was half-baked from the start."

Mother misery is strolling the streets of the town with a parasol in her hand. She stares at any passersby for an uncomfortably long time through her mask. She’s looking for someone in pain, injured. Someone she can help.
Samaritan watches from his restaurant, the three-headed devil from gluttony eyes are narrowed in thought.
She turns to face Samaritan, making eye contact. She tilts her head slightly, closing her parasol. Does Samaritan have any obvious serious injuries?
(also, could I get a description for Samaritan?)
*15 ft humanoid-esque devil. Only black skin, his three heads overed by cloth masks and a golden skull face plate over top. He wears chefs clothes made of black fabric.*
*And no he doesn't.*
He stares at her back, his massive arms folded over his chest.
She makes her way inside his restaurant, twirling her parasol. She looks up to the much taller Samaritan.

Hallo, I am a pan, demigirl, chaotic ADHD mess of a furry. I am Canadian, and yeah. I have been on DDB for a while, and the forums for one or two years. Call me Tara, or Anto. Or tarasque2897!

Georgie is out deep in the forest, sitting un a patch of grass, listening to something. Around him is about a 15ft circle of flowers and mushrooms cutting off the snow from reaching him. In the trees are several flocks of crows and ravens, which he doesn't notice
Tycho is washing his hands in a half frozen river, seeming to be thinking about something
Elio is wandering around town, marveling at the snow
Felix waddles over, holding a mug of hot cocoa. "Try this."
A massive machine looms over the horizon, moving slowly but rapidly approaching. It looks like a lumpy, upside-down teardrop with randomly placed crab-like legs scuttling it along the earth. At its apex, a man sits, playing a piano connected to massive speakers as a localized snowstorm pours down on him. Frost forms on nearby objects as the construct moves toward Helianth and its own construction.
*Apologies for the delay*
The little shadow looks up from the star charts she was reading through. "Oh, thank you!" She takes a small sip, seemingly not bothered by its high temperature.
The crooked flower shivers a bit, shambling through the snow over towards the crawling machine and looking over its general construction.
*All good, I was even slower*
It's very, very good, even for Felix. Spicy, dark, and fruity. "I haven't tried this recipe in decades, since I failed so many times after getting it good just once. Helianth reminded me of it, and I thought I should share."
The machine slowly settles down in front of it, spotlights shining down on the flower. The man on top looks up from his piano. "You there. Who are you?"
*If I had a nickel for every time one of my characters put in a collar as part of their relationship, I would have three nickels, which isn’t a lot, but it’s weird it happened thrice. Anyway, Wendi we need to get Sparrow and Stroth married like now, I don’t know how much time I have.*
