Greek mythology: Here's your options, if you are like really really good, you get eternal bliss, otherwise eternal boredom/torture
Norse mythology: Here's your options, if you die fighting, you either fight forever, and again fight at ragnarok, or you go to a more mellow version, but still fight at ragnarok. If you don't die fighting, eternal boredom/torture kind of hard to tell. If you make the incredibly stupid mistake of dying at sea, your soul gets stuck in a net forever.
Egyption mythology: Here's your options, if your good, eternal bliss, if your not, you no longer exist.
Honestly the egyption seems the best, although either way you need to be buried in a specific way, and get to the halls of judgement in the first place, but you know, if your thinking about the long term it seems cool.

if i say something inflammatory the intention is not to trigger an emotional response and the fact that it does so is purely accidental and I sincerely apologise if it does
Ah yes, remembering that time that the sun goddess had to be lured from a cave with a strip tease.
R rated mythology lol
Lots of mythology is.
To be honest, yeah kinda
True. A lot of the Greek myths had sex in them (I’m not sure about other mythologies).
I mean, gods have to come from somewhere haha
True lol! Kind of amazing Aphrodite didn’t have more kids xD.
I mean there's at least 19
There are?? Wow! I didn’t know that. Thanks Klein.
With Ares, Aphrodite has the following children: -Anteros, God of unrequited love -Beroe, Patron goddess of ancient Lebanon -Deimos, God of Fear -Harmonia, Goddess of Harmony -Phobos, God of Panic
She mothered a god with Hermes: -Hermaphroditos, the God of intrasex people.
She also mothered two gods with Dionysus: -Iacchus, the patron god of the Eleusian Mysteries. -Priapus, God of fertile gardens.
She also was the mother of the Erethos, the winged gods which include: -Eros, god of true love -Himeros, god of Desire -Pothos, God of sexual longing -Peitho, god of seduction (this one is disputed though)
She also had two daughters with Poseidon: -Rhode, the wife of Helios. -Rhodos, the island personified.
She was also concidered the mother of several heroes: -Aeneas, the survivor of Troy and traditional ancestor of the Roman Empire. -Astynoos, a prince of Syria. -Eryx, the king of Sicily. -Herophile, a sibyl prophetess -Lyros, a prince of Dardania.
Yeah, there were actually so many gods that most people don't know about. I have been asked if it gets boring researching mythology. Some think I will end up reading the same stories over and over again, but they don't realize how many stories and legends there are that are hiding beneath the surface. All you have to do is look.
So I was recently passing through the Green Mountain State (Vermont) and I can't go through a place without researching some local folklore.
Legend has it that a group of bandits buried some treasure somewhere in Vermont. It was customary back then to kill one of their number so that a spirit would remain behind and guard the treasure. So the criminals cut the throat of a young boy who had recently joined their number and buried him with the treasure. His ghost is now bound to the treasure and he is filled with rage and spite because he was the sacrifice. He joined the gang to live a life of adventure and crime, he did not want to be betrayed and bound to a booty he will never be able to use. His hate developed so strongly that he turned demonic and he has even been able to summon a hellhound to help guard the treasure and keep him company. Now he roams the area around the treasure, appearing as a dark boy in torn clothing with a deep gash at his throat. He wields a burning hot branding iron and a snarling hellhound follows in his steps.
Vermont has some other interesting legends, including the giant red eyed rabbits, the human faced cow, the shadow people, and of course bigfoot.
Hey, I saw this thread, camp half blood rp, and now I’m thinking about making a Norse mythology themed tavern, like being set in Valhalla. Does anyone think this is a good idea?

Oh Morrigan! I'm Irish and when I was younger they taught us different myths about St. Patrick, and Morrigan shows up in one of them as a giant crow who tries to prove that the Christian God is weak through different trials like storms, fire, angry dogs, stuff like that. Anyways St. Patrick survives them all with the power of God. I'm no expert, but I think this myth was created to convert Celtic Pagans to Christianity.
most definitely
A summary of Irish mythology’s relationship with Christianity:
So these dudes had a really metal religion, some other dudes didn’t like that and tried to make it less metal, but they weren’t able to and it was still metal in the end.

Cuchulain was awesome as well as Nuada and his stuff. Celtic mythology is very fun.
You are correct, I also want to learn more about it, do you know any books that I should read?

I have one book called The Book of Celtic Myths. It is really useful and provides a lot of information about Celtic culture, beliefs, and legends.
