I apologize for being quiet: I took on more contract work and then my main job decided I had to earn that coin for them.

I have a question. Has anyone heard about the story of Guest? He was pretty much the immortal sidekick of a bunch of different heroes like Sigurd, and he had a magic life sustaining candle. His story was really cool, but I can’t find it anywhere and it has been a long time since I have heard it, so I am trying to find it again.

If I haven’t offended you, don’t worry. I’m sure I’ll get to you eventually.
i like charybdis. I don’t know why i colored the word Charybdis like that.
Charybdis is a Greek sea monster that sucked up water and swallowed entire ships, before spitting the water out and making giant tidal waves. They worked together with Scylla to kill and eat sailors.
I had to read the Odyssey in high school, and I was SUPER into the X-Files back then. My English teacher pronounced it Skull-ah instead of Sky-la. I always envisioned Scylla with Gillian Anderson's beautiful, intelligent, skeptical head.

Cool.
i don’t know why, but in my head, i pronounce it sil-a.
The kludde is a fey or ghost or other thing that boos in the night. It will claim a territory by flying over it as a big black bird shouting its own name. If people travel through during the night, the kludde will stalk them and look for an opportunity to climb onto their back. When the kludde is attached to your back it will become heavier and heavier. Your only hope is to rush to your destination as quickly as you can before it crushes you. If you reach your destination or other people, it will disappear. It will also disappear in sunlight, so you can also try to avoid it until daybreak. Hide somewhere and whenever you hear it approach, remain very quiet.

I really like D&D, especially Ravenloft, Exandria and the Upside Down from Stranger Things. My pronouns are she/they (genderfae).

The kludde can also take the form of a large, black dog bound in chains. The dog has no eyes, instead two blue flames hover in front of it and allow it to see. It can also appear as a starved horse, but it is a shape shifter so there are many other forms. One thing it does, is appear as a small sapling with black bark. When someone approaches it, it will begin to grow, stretching into the heavens, until its top is out of sight and the spirit has grown to immense heights. Apparently, experiencing this really freaks people out.
Not gonna let this thread die >:3

Thats good to know. It gets confusing when there’s just words.
Anybody here heard of the Kludde?
I am also here.
Am snek.
Yup. They are fun.
No, never. Who are they?
