QOTD: What does you pfp come from? Did you make it yourself or did you find it somewhere?
I found mine when looking at art for a certain fandom :3
*I talked to IamSposta before posting this and he said I can ask a QOTD whenever (^w^)*
I actually made mine myself! though i didn't design the character in it(who happens to be my persona) an old friend did! we fell out of contact but i keep her design to remember her by
Mine is just an image of Morgan Le Fay (the witch queen from the King Arthur legends) I found online because I admire her as a character.

I really like D&D, especially Ravenloft, Exandria and the Upside Down from Stranger Things. My pronouns are she/they (genderfae).

Look at what you've done. You spoiled it. You have nobody to blame but yourself. Go sit and think about your actions.
Don't be mean. Rudeness is a vicious cycle, and it has to stop somewhere. Exceptions for things that are funny. Go to the current Competition of the Finest 'Brews! It's a cool place where cool people make cool things.

@AEDorsay I don’t get all the references, but that’s really cool. I do get the House of the Rising Sun reference though. I think I heard that in a movie once.
Ok, from the top, lol....
The film Wizard of Oz, the film The Ten Commandments, the Band Kansas, the song by Kansas Carry On My Wayward Son, the TV show Supernatural, the myths of the crossroads and the deal of Robert Johnson, The Animals cover of the song House of the Rising Son, the folklore around that song itself, becaue the song talks about gambling there is also the Riverboat Gambling history, traditional summoning folklore, Isekai tropes, the book Alice in Wonderland, the book Wood between the Worlds, the Narnia books, video games and isekai tropes, and the entire thing is based off the line in Wizard of Oz when Dorothy tells Toto that she thinks they are not in kansas anymore. I then finally date myself by using a reference to Radio Broadcaster Paul Harvey, who had a segment where he would tell a bit of history that was trivia based and would end it with a chuckle and say the "and now you know (pause) the Rest of the Story".
I have a habit of throwing so many references out that I can lose track of them all. Some of my references (like the Heston starring Ten Commandments) are almost automatic for me (So shall it be written, so shall it be done). I also have a habit of asking "what's the buzz, tell me what's happening?" on occasion.

this one was a rather successful attempt at a Fairy using an AI program. I rotate them as the mood strikes.

Oh yeah! QotD can be asked any time, multiple questions, even if someone else has asked one - it's basically a nice way to keep the conversation going.
As for "pfp" - I always forget what this stands for... but reading everyone else's response - it's profile photo (so the P and P make sense... I have no idea what the "f" stands for... lol)
Anyway - the one I have been using forever and a day here...
It's from an issue of Uncanny X-Men #153 - a story entitled "Kitty's Fairytale."
The character is Wolverine, or Kitty's version in the story, where he's known as "Mean."
Kitty's Fairytale in that issue is absolutely fun, fantastic read.
QOTD: What does you pfp come from? Did you make it yourself or did you find it somewhere?
Mine is an old photos I took up at Earthquake Lake in Montana. The place is haunting, but I particularly like this picture because it captures a single one of the hundreds of dead trees that jut from the lake.

Cool! I love that area of the US. I used to spend a week in the Rocky Mountains every summer and it is one of my favourite sceneries.

Hah! I must admit, I’ve always thought of it more as a bugbear than anything else. It kind of reminds me of some old art I saw of one that I can’t quite place.
@Woodsgirl: it looks amazing! I haven’t seen/read what she is from but I may in the future.
@Quar1on: Very nice selfie lol
@AEDorsay: It looks amazing! I always wanted to use ai for stuff like that but I never got around to it.
A couple years ago I had cause to pick up some apps for editing projects on my ipad, and then magically one day they suddenly had a bunch of AI stuff in them, lol.
The specific tool is Photoleap. Is neither cheap nor free. I have no idea what AI thingy they licensed. It does absolutely suck for trying to crete anything that is not bipedal and human looking though, lol. I have been trying to get it to give me somewhat useful baseline images for my new campaign.
here's one of the ones I haven't used for anything.

Here's a bigger picture from the comic... All I did was photoshop the dialogue out of it.
Seeing that and then thinking about a recent run in the comics, I am chuckling over a couple of things:
Logan's beer brand is always either the C or the B, and there seems to be a friendly disagreement among the artists as to which.
Kitty genuinely became a Pirate.

I see the concept of the "Waifu Generator" is still alive and well.
My pfp is a flattering self-portrait I made using a Picrew game(?). Idk if it's CALLED Makowka, or if the person who MADE it goes by Makowka, because I can't read Japanese, but yeah. I use it across a couple platforms.
