How do you come up with your short adventures in a hurry?
For me, it all depends on where the party is currently. For example, in my main campaign - the party is around Level 16, and they're currently in the various Planes (water, earth, fire, air) - because one of the players is royalty (Ginasei) and a war has broken out between the planes - and they've pieced together what's happened - and now trying to bring all sides to peace and reveal the true enemy - a beholder who seeks to become a deity (and has the means to do so). A few players were going to miss a session in the Plane of Fire, so the party who has a Spelljammer - got a call from one of the NPCs on the Spelljammer that they just got a distress signal. So they beamed back up to the Spelljammer, did a quick mission to help some Astral Elves against some beasts - and then returned to the Plane of Fire for the next session. So it always depends on where they are - I am eternally thankful for my brain. A lot of times if I need a quick side quest - I just flip through the monster manuals, look for monsters the party hasn't encountered (or rarely encountered) - look for two or three that can be connected - and then that's the session - create a story around that.
If I’m allowed to do a Question Of The Day (it seems like anyone can?)
How often do you all play D&D/whatever TTRPG you generally use?

We play from 7pm to Midnight, though sometimes we start a half hour earlier or later, or end the session and hour earlier or later depending on what's going on IRL and in game.

(yes, anyone can)
We play D&D, and every saturday night there are seven different games going n, and then on Sunday I play an afternoon dungeon crawl (and then we fade into movie night). Sessions are scheduled for five hours, with about four hours of "real play", and then sunday is 3 to 5 depending on everyone's mood.
we always scheule an extra hour, because folks get caught up for the week, and some folks run a bit late, so it gives everyone a chance to settle in and prep.

In-person games just ended before the 2024 rules came out. The GM wants to familiarize themselves before they start the next campaign.
Everyday here on the PbP games.
Are you saying you stopped playing in person because your moving to 2024 rules?

That’s almost half a year. Have you looked around for local groups that seem to be in alignment with your beliefs and play style? Gameshops might have some gaming groups open for another person. My DM is like 40, and all the players are 13 or older (no ones like, 18, were all within like middle area Teenager for the most part) and I met them at a game shop, something was setup online talking about it and our mom asked us if we’d be interested. Turns out, amazing DM, and great players. Everyone’s politics are fine too, no Homophobia or Racism. I’d considered this when I started actually playing D&D, not a random library event with 7 people who are interested to varying extents. (Some people just wanna hit stuff or care little for any RP or teamwork) or something like that
Granted it started as 2hr sessions with 14 people, then split into a younger kid and older kid rooms, and finally the DM started a game at his house with the players most interested in playing TTRPGS (some people were fun as a person but like, played a literal shrimp with a banjo) So I’ve had a good experience with that but I can’t guarantee it’ll work for you

My group kinda broke apart because some of the members went to college. Even before that scheduling was a nightmare though, we maybe got together once every two or three weeks.

1 - The Phaser. You have an energy beam that can knock down, knock out, burn through, or disintegrate anything it is shot at, depending on what setting you use. Plus, it recharges when just being stowed.
2 - The Blaster. It is an endlessly ammo's up weapon that shoots energy bullets.
3 - TNC-47 PAPW. The Pappy, or Personal Anti-Personnel Weapon, discharges a focused burst of demiplasma at a range of up to 30 feet that is basically a giant taser without safety protocols. Used for boarding purposes. Not a good idea to be putting holes in ships in space. First, they are expensive to make; second, air ain't free.
That's Star Trek, Star Wars, and my own shit I made up when I was like 17, lol.

Clone Troopers are honestly my favorite massive army in Star Wars. I feel bad when they die sometimes, and anyone’s who’s watched Clone Wars knows how many of them are dying. The amount of on screen Clone deaths in total is something nuts, I can’t remember it but you can find it online

1: The Wave Beam from the Metroid series. Powerful, chargeable shots that go through walls and have infinite ammo.
2: I'm not sure if this totally counts but a lot of the special weapons from the Splatoon series are really cool. Powerful blasts with a huge hit radius and insane damage. The Ink Vac, Booyah Bomb, Sting Ray, and Rainmaker especially stand out. Pretty good range and rechargeability too.
3: I can't leave out all of the blasters in Star Wars. Tons of different variants and power levels, and the smaller ones don't even seem to have recoil, including the huge gatling guns used in The Clone Wars.

I really like D&D, especially Ravenloft, Exandria and the Upside Down from Stranger Things. My pronouns are she/they (genderfae).
I play once a week, Dming for a campaign.
I have considered DMing another one, maybe something her in the forums that is more causal.
I also play once a week on Saturdays for 3hrs
If you want to be more specific you can also add how long
(Edit: every other week for 3hrs)
