I have two leopard geckos and an australian shepherd. I used to have a ball python but they are hard to keep alive when they are young. RIP Smaug. We had two cats but they died. We had to get rid of a dog so now we only have one. We do have several doves but they aren't mine. We also used to have chickens but we had to get rid of them when we moved. Just the geckos and a dog is a record low amount of pets for me.
For plants, I have a collection of succulents and each one has a name. Someone put my a bunch of my succulents in with the doves because they thought it would look cool and the doves tore my poor plants to pieces. I also have a bonsai, but it sure doesn't look like it is a bonsai.

Question of the day: What is your oldest pair of shoes? Did you buy them yourself?
I recently got rid of a pair of UGGs I've had for probably 20 years. So now my oldest shoes are probably my flip flops which are probably like 10 years old? I might have other shoes that are older, but don't wear them enough to remember.
What is your favorite official book?
Probably Player's Handbook because it's what allows me to invite/lure/etc., people into playing.
Otherwise, Dragonlance because I love the actual novels. And surprisingly Spelljammer, solely because they essentially introduced the playable races from the old Star Frontiers game and just renamed them.
Question of the day: Do you have any pets?
Currently two dogs. A corgi who runs the house and a rescue from Mexico, who has come a tremendous long way from when we first got her.
Oh yeah. Well, none that I can really consider "mine," they're my mom's really. But we have two cats and a little cat-sized dog. Very friendly critters. I feel bad for them because they live almost their entire lives inside one house.
Yeah. My parents have a sweet dog who’s been in the family for 7 or 8 years now. He gets to go out and hike a lot though.

Oh yes. Dragonlance is amazing. The book series and that…
Shaking off the cold... not a lot to this one... just wanted to write and prove that I could, even when under the weather... so here we go...
Writer’s Note: This madness is something out of sheer boredom. It all began when AllMightyLordOfDND assigned races and classes to people who were participating in the thread. He was basing it on people’s responses, avatars, signatures (I am not sure what his formula was). But I was bored, and decided to start writing… I can’t even call it a story. I will call it an “Attempt To Curb My Boredom.” It keeps going, and no idea how long it will even go for. I have no plans where this story is going, as the conversations in the thread often dictate where the story is headed.
“You’re a wererat?” Thorrison, the large, imposing Giff ranger asked, surprised.
“Yes,” Wysperra replied, his rat-like nose twitching. “That’s originally why I truly got into alchemy. I was hoping to find some kind of cure for this disease.”
“It’s not a disease,” AEDorsay replied. “It’s a curse.”
Wysperra turned to face the Desert Elf. “You are correct, because the full moons have passed, and I was still infected. Now, it is much more difficult to remove. If you can find someone in time, before the first full moon – it’s actually a disease that moves through your body, and it can be cured with a spell. The problem is you don’t know you’re infected, until that first moon comes and your body changes. So none of us knew we needed any kind of cure until it was already too late,” Wysperra sighed. “I’ve managed to keep my Lycanthropy under control,” he itched behind his ear and examine what appeared to be a fae-flea. “But remember when I told about the group of other Halflings I was with? When they attacked Greenhaven Hills, which was lived in by peaceful goblins? Well, it would seem that our deity was not pleased – and though I took no part in the attack, I did not stop – and so, Lethfear infected us with Lycanthropy turning us into the rats that he thought we were for our actions.”
“A curse by a deity,” Sirtawmis whispered. “That can’t be easy to fix.”
“In truth that’s why I had originally joined you,” Wysperra confessed. “I was hoping in our journeys I would find a way to remove this curse.”
“Perhaps the cure isn’t so far away as you think,” AllMightyLordOfDND suddenly spoke. He’d hardly said much since ‘joining’ the others in their ‘adventure.’
“What does that mean?” Wysperra asked, but AllMightyLordOfDND was once again, twirling his hair, eyes gazing skyward and lost.
Stertle09 nodded to Wysperra, “I can understand what it’s like living with a curse.”
ChoirOfFire who was standing next to IAmSposta, her arms folded across her chest, covering her crest. She looked over dubiously at the Satyr bard. “Any idea where we are since this is your homeland?”
“If you were plopped somewhere in Deeyandy, you wouldn’t know where you were. We need to move around some, let me get my bearings,” IAmSposta growled.
The party moved through the plains and it was not long before there was an overbearing odor.
“I know where we are now,” IAmSposta sighed.
“We’re near the Swamp of Despair,” Midnightplat muttered. He too, was quite familiar with the Feywild – and unfortunately knew about the Swamp of Despair. “Listen,” he said turning to the others. “There are all kinds of creatures in this swamp… everything from basilisks, which with one gaze, can turn you to stone; as well as a black dragon who calls herself ‘Despair.’ She claims the swamp was named after her. If we go in there we have got to be extremely careful. As a matter of fact…”
However, before Midnightplat could finish – the ground rumbled around them – then exploded, sending dirt and sand everywhere.
A large creature has emerged from the hole; in many aspects it resembled a giant praying mantis with large mandibles and claws with hooks. The creature was about to grab a stunned ChoirOfFire, until Sirtawmis slammed into her, knocking her on the ground and finding himself grabbed.
“Stop saving me!” ChoirOfFire growled as she stood and drew her weapon. “I can take care of myself. I am not some damn maiden in distress!”
As Sirtawmis struggled against the crushing strength of the mandible that had him, he growled between gasps, “Wasn’t… trying to… save you… had… dirt in my eyes… was just… rushing towards… the beast…” As he focused his strength he added, “Wouldn’t… mind… a hand… not ashamed… to ask… for help.”
“We have to go,” IAmSposta urged.
“Go?” Amnon_Balderk asked, as he drew out his quarter staff to fight the beast. “You would desert your good friend?”
“Good friend?” IAmSposta looked confused. “Oh, you mean the half-orc? I always forget you… Prime Plane people put so much value in that. Listen, I’ve known him for years, sure – but for me? It’s barely been a blink of time. No more of a commitment to him than someone you met at a bar for a night.”
“You’re not saying you two…” Theology began.
“No,” IAmSposta blanched at the idea. “I am just not that great at this… metaphor thing.”
“Explains why you’re not a very good bard,” Boringbard added.
“Listen the fighting they’re doing is bound to attract trouble,” IAmSposta urged. “Just like he was saying,” he pointed to Midnightplat. “The swamp is full of danger and the sounds of battle are going to draw more attention than we want or need. We need to get through the swamp before that happens.”
“I hate to agree with him,” Midnightplat sighed, “but he’s right.”
“AEDorsay,” IAmSposta said, “I need you to come with me, for sure. Your magic will no doubt be needed in the swamp. Theology of Bagels, I’d like you to come with us.”
“But couldn’t they use some heals,” the goblin cleric asked, pointing at Sirtawmis still in the clutches of the ankheg’s mandibles.
“Sure, but the swamp has disease, you can cure it if we get sick,” IAmSposta urged.
“I will help fight the beast,” Drakenbrine shook his fist at IAmSposta and ran into battle.
“I don’t always agree with that strange dwarf, but I do this time. My Quarterstaff goes to the beast,” Amnon_Balderk said and joined the battle.
“I know the swamps,” Midnightplat hissed, hating this. “You will need me as a guide, Satyr.”
“The magic of the Feywild is interfering with my ability to shift back to Halfling form, but I am not much use in battle,” Wysperra sighed. “I guess I am going with you, Satyr.”
“My patron is telling me to do what I feel is right… and I think that means fighting the beast,” Quar1on, the gnome Warlock said, and joined the battle.
“I will go into the swamp,” Antonsirius said. “I should be able to identify any potentially dangerous areas.”
“I will fight the beast,” Thorrison said. “That way I can use my ranger skills to track the rest of you and we can rejoin you.”
The_Summoning_Dark growled. “The swamp people don’t have much for weapons. They need someone to protect them. Damn it. I will go with them.”
Boringbard nodded to his tortle friend, and the Dragonborn turned. “I will stay and inspire the heroes here.”
AllMightyLordOfDND looked and said, “Into the swamp I go. Look up, look low; don’t forget, we’re gonna get wet.”
“I will stay with the mad one and head into the swamps as well,” Stertle09 nodded.
With that, Midnightplat lead IAmSposta, AEDorsay, Theology, Wysperra, Antonsirius, The_Summoning_Dark, Stertle09 and AllMightyLordOfDND into the swamp.
Yes, Lycanthropy is officially a “Curse” according to Jeremy Crawford (https://twitter.com/JeremyECrawford/status/1072259770696912896). In my own campaign I treat it as a Disease, however, that can’t be simply removed with “Cure Disease.” In my campaign, someone has until the first full moon after their infection to find someone to cast “Greater Restoration” to remove the infection. If the full moon passes and the target is infected, it then moves to a “Wish” to remove the disease which has settled and changed the person’s very genetics.
For the reference to Wysperra’s story about attacking Greenhaven Hills, that happened in segment 14 if you wanted to check it out.
And for that pet question, I forgot that we have rabbits. I don't know how I forgot them. We are actually in a spot of trouble because we didn't realize that we had gotten a male and a female rabbit. We will likely have way more than two rabbits in a little while.

I do. I’ve got a few D&D shirts, and I’ve set my computer and phone backgrounds to some D&D art. I even have a couple stickers on my water bottle, though they’re starting to come off now.

Sort of, but not really. I don't have Dnd shirts or stuff like that, but if anybody pays any attention to what I do then they could probably tell. I carry a D20 in my pocket because who knows when you need to randomly roll for initiative? That dice has come in handy when someone asks about the game. Me and my friends will start enthusiastically describing every detail of the game and the look on the face of our bewildered victim is priceless when I whip out the D20 and roll it across the table.
I usually have a bag stuffed with books that I carry everywhere, and it is not uncommon for a Dnd book to be in there. I also almost always have my own notebook that I use for Dnd on me. Plus, I often make Dnd related jokes or comments and I am interested in things that often draw people to Dnd like fantasy stories and that stuff. I do have a picture of Tiamat on my desk, as well as many other famous dragons from mythology, so I guess that counts.
I do have to be careful though. I know a few people who have that "Dnd is demonic" mindset and would probably get upset if they found out I played. They do know I enjoy fantasy though, and they do too, so it would probably turn out fine in the end.
Question of the day: Do you advertise your interest in gaming? Wear gaming shirts or use a gaming bag? Bumper stickers? Office art?
I have an assortment of D&D related shirts ("When the DM Smiles, It's Already Too Late", another with a D20 laying on a dragon, the Stranger Things official D&D shirt for the club, etc).
Everyone at my work knows I play D&D. I talk about my games. lol

That d20… I’ll do you one better. I bought a tiny set of dice that goes with me everywhere. We have whipped them out and actually played impromptu one shots with just those dice, tricking non players into playing sometimes!

The irony of your user name here being The Summoning Dark :D
I have a pair of d20 earrings. They're flat studs with d20 designs rather than actual d20s. Other than that, nah. I don't like having graphic designs on my clothes really. In a strange way I think it gives me gender dysphoria. When I was growing up, graphic designs were like, the only thing boys wore. Just an endless sea of snarky bullshit, band logos, and anime key art, printed on those godforsaken Gildan cotton t-shirts that always, without fail, curl up at the bottom hem and can't be ironed flat. They were like camouflage. Nobody would perceive me while I wore them, and that's what you want when you're an egg. To not be noticed by anyone.
Question of the day: Do you advertise your interest in gaming? Wear gaming shirts or use a gaming bag? Bumper stickers? Office art?
I've got a couple shirts that I don't wear a whole lot: a black one with the classic ampersand in red wax and a grey hoodie with the 1e PHB cover on it. I've also got a d20 necklace that I do wear pretty frequently. An actual d20, not just a flat stud with a design. It doesn't really matter if I advertise or not, since nobody I tend to be around even knows it's a game. You wouldn't believe how many times I've had to explain that Stranger Things did not invent D&D.

Question of the day: Do you advertise your interest in gaming? Wear gaming shirts or use a gaming bag? Bumper stickers? Office art?
I don't tend to wear or display anything that obviously says "this is what I'm into" -- I'm more of a "if you know, if know" kind of person, so I've got a couple CritRole shirts -- the TravelerCon hoodie which is legit the most comfortable thing I've ever worn that isn't pajamas... CR really kills it on the merch front, and the Eyes of Nine long sleeve -- which no one who didn't watch Campaign 2 would recognize as being D&D related
I'm also toying with the idea of my next tattoo being a D&D thing. Either one that's a tribute to Chasing Waterfalls, my tabaxi wizard who managed to survive ToA, or a classic Ed Roth or Robt. Williams "monster on a hot rod" sort of design, only the monster driving the hot rod will be a beholder
I do have a d20 keychain one of my players got me this Christmas, though
Carric Aquissar, elven wannabe artist in his deconstructionist period (Archfey warlock) Lan Kidogo, mapach archaeologist and treasure hunter (Knowledge cleric) Mardan Ferres, elven private investigator obsessed with that one unsolved murder (Assassin rogue) Xhekhetiel, halfling survivor of a Betrayer Gods cult (Runechild sorcerer/fighter)
When I was growing up, graphic designs were like, the only thing boys wore. Just an endless sea of band logos
Feels attacked. lol
I kid, I do not feel attacked. But having grown up in the 80s - I did tend to wear endless metal band shirts (that were typically album covers, or just the band's logo, or concert shirt).
Question: What is the strangest D&D game you’ve had?
Mine was tonight. We were playing Shadowdark, a new ttrpg that is one of the most intelligent games I’ve ever played, and our usual game store has no room left, so we migrated to the nearest open location: the picnic tables outside our local Mormon church. One player is part of the church, so we figured it was fine. We made characters for a solid hour and a half and then got into playing. By room four the entire party had died, purely through fault of their own. They made loud noises that drew monsters and they touched a dagger that dealt an insane 1d100 damage to any creature that touched it.
Hm. "One of the most intelligent games," but also it includes a dagger that deals 1d100 damage to someone who touches it. Interesting juxtaposition.
I once explored a dungeon where the solutions to puzzles involved feeding different potions to a goat that we had to shepherd through the dungeon. If I could remember any of the puzzles, I'd elaborate, but I can't, lol. Anyway at the end the goat turned evil and we had to fight it. It was flying and breathing fire by that point.

They’ve done what you should never do…

This continues to be very enjoyable! Kudos on the story thus far!
Nice story.
And for that pet question, I forgot that we have rabbits. I don't know how I forgot them. We are actually in a spot of trouble because we didn't realize that we had gotten a male and a female rabbit. We will likely have way more than two rabbits in a little while.
Aw cute!
Question of the day: Do you advertise your interest in gaming? Wear gaming shirts or use a gaming bag? Bumper stickers? Office art?
"Sooner or later, your Players are going to smash your railroad into a sandbox."
-Vedexent
"real life is a super high CR."
-OboeLauren
"............anybody got any potatoes? We could drop a potato in each hole an' see which ones get viciously mauled by horrible monsters?"
-Ilyara Thundertale

Anyway.
I do talk about D&D a lot.
Look at what you've done. You spoiled it. You have nobody to blame but yourself. Go sit and think about your actions.
Don't be mean. Rudeness is a vicious cycle, and it has to stop somewhere. Exceptions for things that are funny.
Go to the current Competition of the Finest 'Brews! It's a cool place where cool people make cool things.
How I'm posting based on text formatting: Mod Hat Off - Mod Hat Also Off (I'm not a mod)
Active characters:
Carric Aquissar, elven wannabe artist in his deconstructionist period (Archfey warlock)
Lan Kidogo, mapach archaeologist and treasure hunter (Knowledge cleric)
Mardan Ferres, elven private investigator obsessed with that one unsolved murder (Assassin rogue)
Xhekhetiel, halfling survivor of a Betrayer Gods cult (Runechild sorcerer/fighter)
