And introducing... AllMightyLordOfDND – Multi-Race/Multi-Class
==================================
“Listen lads,” Drakenbrine stormed out from the back of the crowd that gathered around the now dead manticore. “It’s great that the three o’ ye arrived an’ saved the day an’ all that. But look here,” he gestured behind him. “There’s already a lot o’ us here and I am barely gettin’ any lines of dialogue in this blasted story. An’ I ain’t too keen on sharin’ my talkin’ time – or lack there of – but the lot o’ ya.”
“Well,” Sirtawmis countered, “Looks like the furry guy’s been gone for a bit. So really, it’s just two extras rather than three.”
“Did you not see me?” A figure suddenly blinked into view.
There stood a human – who had pointed ears, like an elf – a beard like a dwarf – and hair on his feet like a Halfling. “The name is AllMightyLordOfDND!”
“Let me guess, all together as one word,” Sirtawmis chuckled.
“Indeed,” AllMightyLordOfDND replied.
“OK, fine, so three,” Sirtawmis said, looking at Drakenbrine. He turned back towards AllMightyLordOfDND. “So what do you do?”
“Well,” AllMightyLordOfDND shrugged. “I am a little of everything. I have issues, so I tend to rage a lot – so some people have called me a barbarian. Other times, my heart aches and feels inspirational, so,” he pulled a lute that had been strapped to his back and strummed the strings. “So sometimes, I write a song, so some people have called me a bard. But,” he pulled out a religious relic, “I used to be a practicing cleric, too. But gave that up when I left the Church and just went out to become one with nature, and became a Druid. While I was out there, there was a lot of monsters, so I learned to become a Fighter. But someone from my Church came and found me and wanted to bring me back – and could see I was confused about finding my place in the world. So he brought me to a monastery where I learned to be a Monk. I took the fighting I’d learned, and the time as a Church to become a Paladin for my deity – and also escorted people through the woods, like a Ranger. Often times, I’d need to sneak ahead so I got lessons from a Rogue. Discovered, that I had all this magical abilities down the line – that’s what was causing me confusion. So I was like a Sorcerer, and in order to learn how to control the magic, I made a pact with a demon, like a Warlock – before breaking free of his hold, and simply studying magic like a wizard.”
“Seriously,” Drakenbrine shouted. “The lad – in one shot – had a monologue with more lines than me and I’ve been in this blasted story from the start.”
Behind this, IAmSposta strummed, “My name is Drakenbrine, and I am in a story, but I will sit here and whine, because I am not getting the glory.”
Sirtawmis slapped the lute out of IAmSposta’s hands. “Seriously. You need to learn on how to properly inspire people.”
“I was doing it wrong again?” IAmSposta said, his Satyr ear twitched. “You mortals are so difficult to figure out.”
“I’d like to point out, just because you are Fey, does not make you immortal,” AEDorsay, the desert elf, explained. “Mortality means something that dies. Immortality means something that does not die. Undying is a term that gets drawn into the fury and storm of the Undead. Omnipotent is all powerful, omniscient is all knowing, Omni is a defunct magazine about science and science fiction. What are the aspects of worship? What are the rites and ceremonies, and how do they take place? What is the linkage to the afterlife, and what happens beyond death of the mortal shell? IS the spirit or the soul or both -- is the anima itself eternal and immortal, or is it a reflection of what was, merely a mindless form of energy or matter? What is the distinction between the spirit, the soul, the mind, and the heart?”
“What is she even talkin’ about? Is everyone out to get more lines than me today?” Drakenbrine grumbled.
“What is AEDorsay even talking about?” Midnightplat asked.
“I am a Cleric,” Theology of Bagels replied, “and I admit, I am not even sure.”
“Do you all banter this much all of the time?” ChoirOfFire asked.
“Yes,” Thorrison nodded. “It’s difficult when I am scouting ahead and I can hear my companions from several hundred feet away because they never shut up.”
“Says the one who brought the manticore to us,” Antonsirius pointed out, still trying to heal the burned trees, shooting a scathing look at AEDorsay.
“I am wondering if we made a mistake,” The_Summoning_Dark, a tortle, spoke slowly.
“Yes,” BoringBard confirmed. “We might have waited for the manitcore to finish this lot.”
“Well,” Drakenbrine said. “Let me tell you about my grandfather who was a tomb raider and…”
“We really should be going,” Wusperra said, interrupting Drakenbrine.
“No, listen, so he’s a tomb raider and he,” Drakenbrine tried to continue the story.
“He’s right,” Quar1on agreed. “That fight made a lot of noise. We need to get moving.”
“Listen,” Drakenbrine called out chasing his companions. “There’s this part where he drops his hat…”

Notes - AllMightyLordOfDND messaged me and asked to be included - I asked what class - and he said all, for fun - so I did - and explained how (sheer silliness) - and decided to make him multi-race/species/whatever also. :D The Drakenbrine lines are about your recent post - thought it'd be a fun story to add - and make reference to the short one you posted! And the line from AEDorsay is from one of her posts in this thread.
Love the story, got a bit annoyed when the bad bard *not saying names* called Drakenbrine whiny, even though I know it was a joke. The story I did wasn’t about his grandfather. It was about his great great grandfather.

Ah, blast! Yer right. It was the great grandfather. (I love the clear Indiana Jones reference to the short bit ye've posted so far!)
And yeah, definitely no offense meant in my story - was a springboard for basically making a story about your character wanting more lines in the story.
And we've already seen once before about how bad IAmSposta is at inspiring people with his music (during the manticore battle). So I used that and keep focusing on how he's Fey and doesn't understand "mortal emotions." lol
That's my favorite one so far. I love a good fourth wall break.
Thank you! I love breaking the 4th wall for comedy. My web series I did (see the Neverending Nights link in my signature) - I had these goblins that were replicas in terms of representation of the original three main characters of the story and they constantly break the 4th wall in that same manner, for comedy.
Question: We all enjoy D&D - but are there any VIDEO games (whether PC, Console, Arcade, etc.) that you enjoy? Bonus points for explaining why you enjoy them?
Question: We all enjoy D&D - but are there any VIDEO games (whether PC, Console, Arcade, etc.) that you enjoy? Bonus points for explaining why you enjoy them?
I don't play many video games. I have played a little bit of Zelda Breath of the Wild, and I do enjoy it. Haven't gotten very far. Video games just don't feel like a great use of my time, though I do like playing them with friends every now and then. I am really bad at most games though. Like really bad. Like I have said before, I am terrible with technology.

I’m playing two games right now. God of War: Ragnarok and Hogwarts Legacy. Fine them both fun.

Thanks for the compliment. The references are the funniest part of you ask me. Also you did it again. The stories about the great GREAT grandfather, not GREAT grandfather.
Question: We all enjoy D&D - but are there any VIDEO games (whether PC, Console, Arcade, etc.) that you enjoy? Bonus points for explaining why you enjoy them?
I am about to make you all gasp. I have two PS4s and a PS5. I play exactly one game. One.
There is a lot that goes into the why of that, but the short version is I started playing Destiny to be closer to my youngest while my husband was dying, and it was the first video game I had played since Dragon's Lair was in Arcades. About 30 years or more for those younger, lol. I fell away from Destiny and found a brand new game, and it has become my entire reason for having consoles, lol.
Horizon Zero Dawn. While I had something like 1300 hours in on Destiny, I have about half that on HZD, and when I can find time or need to take a break from other things, I drop into Forbidden west or Zero Dawn and spend hours there just having fun.
I tried a few other games, but thus far all of them leave me exceptionally unexcited and uninterested. Aloy is the Ranger I always wanted to play, lol. Oh, and yes, I will vanish for a brief time later in April.

I never expected to get this much attention. I rarely ever post on the threads even this one despite it being my favorite that I check almost every day. I kinda just thought like on person would post a “cool” in repsine and that would be it. I’m pretty sure I’m the one along for the ride. I did 1(excuse me will I try and fail to find the percentage sb cause im blind (not really)) and Tawmis did 99 percent of the work.

Skyrim, I love it because it’s got a long and immersive storyline and there are lots of new places to go to, the graphics are high and it’s one of the games I’ve been playing since I was 6 or so. Me and my older brother have together got over 1000 hours on it.
