Somewhere in a different part of the sewers, a tapping sound echoes through the tunnels of sludge.
The tapping grows louder and louder. Eventually one of the walls collapses in rubble and a shadowy figure stumbles into the sewers. They splash into the sewage and fall onto their knees. Something heavy drops from their hand and into the water, becoming partially submerged. They are panting badly and their shape is hard to make out. They are short, they seem to have a lot of hair, and the clink of metal can be heard whenever they move. It struggles back to its feet and begins piling the stone and rubble back up, filing in the hole they came from. It finishes this job fairly quickly though it is poorly done. The figure staggers a few feet away before collapsing into the filthy water again. They do not stir.

Somewhere in the sewers, strange images and symbols have been drawn all over the dark walls. One of the symbols resembles a dark eye with a twisted tail. At some point, that part of the sewer becomes veiled in total darkness. The darkness twitches. It wriggles. But it doesn't breathe. That would require a physical body.
The Darkness wonders who has dared to summon it and tastes the air for a mind.
The Darkness coils its ways through the wonderfully dark, slimy tunnels of the sewers. So far, it has been disappointed. It has not come across any wonderfully broken minds yet. The Darkness has slid into every slime pit and probed every pile of sewage, but there hasn't been anything good.There have been plenty of rats, and they were fun to madden for a while, but so far nothing of worth. What it wouldn't give for a drunk fallen in the sewers right now.
As it travels through the shadows, it suddenly rears back, burnt. Angry, it had just found some powerful minds that would have been perfect, but they were protected by holy water. It quickly slid away from there. It was unfortunate that those beings were protected from its grasp, but it had just caught the scent of the perfect target.
'I just remembered something. You know Jim's Taco Shop? The place is owned by a minor supporter of the Sixth. Sick guy. If the First was here, he could have summoned him. The Sixth and the First are like two sides to the same coin, forever at war, yet strangely drawn to each other...'
