'Great! San-Quin loves art!' He is drawing a skeleton, and has already drawn a box of noodles

'I don't mind. Maybe we should have a vote at some point? Also, we got more cash in the club fund!'

"Those are amazing drawings! Maybe I'll add some myself, although I doubt they'll be as good as yours."

"A vote sounds great, democracy is always a good plan. And cash is great too! Did you sell some more junk?"

'Sound good!'

'Yeah, maybe when we're next all together! And yeah, I did sell some more junk from here. Gotta keep clearing it out I guess, or it'll fill the room with trash! And there's enough trash in here already, with all of us here'

"Ha, yeah, I guess we are sorta the trash of society. In the best kind of way though. I'd rather be 'trash' than a bad person living a boring life."

'I certainly agree! And you totally are!'

"I'm glad to hear it! I've been called trash as an insult before, but now I know it's really a compliment."

'Anything can be a compliment if ya want it to be, as everything has at least some positive characteristics! And come on, who cares if ya a little dirty and rotten around the edges if ya got a good heart? Then again, I kinda would say that, wouldn't I?'

"Good point. You should sell inspirational quote books, you're full of wisdom! I wish I'd met you sooner, you really are a great friend and I could have done with one of those a while ago."

'Maybe I should become a writer, impart my wisdom on the world!' he jokes. 'Yeah, you're a great friend too! Always good to have a friend to talk to, ya probably one of my best friends here!'

"I'd read your books! And you too, you're the best friend I've had since Clem, except for maybe Edgar. He barely counts anyway, I think he only hangs round me for the food."

'I'm sure Edgar likes ya! I sometimes wondered if Hi just likes me 'cause I feed him, but I don't really feed him much good stuff to be honest. He's a rat, he can't tell the difference between rotten meat and the finest delicacies!'

"I can only hope. I'm sure Hi likes you too, you're really a very likeable person. Must be nice having an animal friend who just eats what he's given." She shoots a look at Edgar, and he glares right back, as if he's saying 'Hey! You try eating rotten flesh and see if you like it!'

'Yeah, it's definitely better when ya animal companion ain't too fussy! Lot cheaper as well!'

A pipe spews murky water all over Lil and Flint.

"I can imagine!"

Lil shakes a little like a dog, and sputters. "Is that something that happens a lot?"

'Kinda. Ya get used to it after a while. Probably shouldn't tell ya this, but one time, me and Ash tried to have a romantic boat ride down here. It was all going so well, then I must have got distracted by her amazing beauty, as before ya know it, we'd sailed under a toilet pipe just as, well ya can guess what happened'

She laughs, and says "That sounds familiar. I tried to take Clem on a romantic picnic once, and managed to trip and fall right into a cow pat. I guess we're both cursed to embarrass ourselves in front of the people we love. Although the fact that neither of them left us says a lot, maybe even bad dates can be sorta romantic."

'I guess so. I mean, the boat incident was when we were both living down here, so yeah, a lot of our interactions ended a bit like that! I guess that's the hazard of being with someone ya love in such an unsanitary place! A romantic picnic, that sounds like it was a good idea though!'

"Yeah, I can imagine living in a sewer might be a bit unpredictable. And the picnic would've been a good idea if I hadn't suggested taking a shortcut through the bull paddock. I clearly didn't think things through too well. But she seemed to enjoy it anyway, and that's all that matters."

'I guess so. Do you ever think you'll try to, ya know, fall in love again?'
