"Guess I'm a rat then, cause I love it too! I'm doing great! I've been scavenging a lot, and in between that I've been researching new spells in the library. Arlo's doing great too, although Edgar still isn't quite sure how to feel about him."
'Hi and the cats have also been a little funny, but it's mostly better now. And of course ya a rat, look at ya! Ya skulking around down here, scavenging for a living, what else would ya be? What new spells ya found?'

You guys are awesome and mean so much to me. And mean so much to each other.
"Ha, yeah" she laughs. "Now that I think about it I am a lot like a rat. The other day I found a spell that lets you summon a ghost horse! Pretty cool, right?"
"You can ride it! And it even comes with it's own saddle. It'll make travel a lot easier, and definitely more interesting. I wonder if other people can see it, or if it'll just look like I'm floating?"
Lil sits cross legged facing Flint, still concentrating on the spell. "Reading? I love it, one of the truly wonderful things in life. It's amazing how you can learn so much from a few words scribbled on a piece of paper, sometimes hundreds or thousands of years ago. How about you, are you a fan of books?"
'Yeah! Any of the old tatty books the library chucks out tend to end up in my possession. Most of them I sell on, but I've found a few pretty good ones worth reading, even if a couple pages are missing! Got quite a collection, and ya always welcome to borrow some!'

"Some of the best books are the ones people throw out, I've found a few of my favourites that way too. And I'd love to borrow some of yours sometime! I'll bring any more I find down here, it can be like a club library."
'Yes! We totally should have a club library! I got a crate of books back at my old place, we could go and bring them here? I've already read them 20 million times pretty much'

As he says this, a large semi-transparent horse appears in the centre of the room. It looks almost like it's made out of smoke, and it snorts, stamping its hooves. "Hey look, there's our ride! I think it can only take one of us at a time, but if you tell me where the books are I could go and get them? And you can definitely go for a ride after if you want to."
'Sure! I mean, I don't know if it can fit through my old home's doorway, but it could take ya the rest of the way!' He reads off the directions to his old den. 'Race ya!'
He scuttles off into a side passage, taking a different route

Lilith scoops Arlo up and tucks him carefully into her bag, before cautiously mounting the steed. "There's no way you'll beat me, not when I have a ride like this!" She taps her foot gently against the creature's side and they begin to gallop down the passage. Lil has to duck to avoid the low ceilings, and is clearly not used to being on a horse, only barely hanging on.
Just after she arrives, Flint shows up at their destination. He's out of breath, even dirtier than usual, and appears to have toilet paper stuck in his hair. 'Dang it, ya won!'

"It was a close thing, and Ghostie here probably doesn't get tired so it's hardly fair. Looks like the sewer gods left you a gift!" She bends down and picks the toilet paper put of his hair, and then jumps down. She turns to the horse, and says "Would you mind staying here? We'll be back soon, I promise."
'Yeah, but I've been living here for a long time, should know all the shortcuts. Man, I'd say I hate it when stuff falls on my head, but to be honest, I'm kinda used to it'

"Hey, if you'd beaten a magical ghostly horse in a foot race I would've been seriously impressed. And possibly a little suspicious that you were using teleportation. Should we go in? I'm excited to see your old home."

'The best people are like rats. Now that spell is cool! Can ya ride it, or do ya just fall through it?'

"Yeah! It'll take a few minutes though, you might want to get comfy." She pulls out her battered leather spellbook and begins casting Phantom Steed
Flint sits down in a makeshift beanbag made from rags. 'Ya said ya been at the library a lot. Ya much a fan of reading?'
