'Basically, there was this evocation wizard, or evoker, who got kicked out of his village for trying out new spells that were said to be dangerous. He formed an Order of Evokers, hid away in a huge mansion in the dark forests, practised his magic in secret there. Even started meddling with far greater things- portals to the world where the worlds will End. And to 'prove' his work was not dangerous, he created a secondary Order of Vindication to destroy all those who believed his 'advancement of knowledge' was too much. Of course, this was all a long time ago...'

"He sounds like a very dangerous man, I don't blame the village for banishing him. Although I can't say I hate the idea of a secluded forest mansion. And surely everyone knows that messing with portals is never a good idea, especially ones that lead to the 'End'."
'A secluded forest mansion sure would be nice, but to be honest, it'd be hard to beat anything this town has to offer. An excellent tavern, a surprisingly habitable sewage system, man, I don't think I'll ever leave! And yeah, messing with such a portal is only going to be bad news. That Steve guy did, though, and came out okay. Still, he was 'special', and much about him has been embellished or forgotten in the mists of time. Legend says he was the one who killed the Evokers, but that may just be legend'

That Steve sure sounds like one interesting guy, I still can't work out if he's supposed to be in the right or the wrong. Either way, he's given us a lot of legends to retell."

But not all people could end up wielding the Diamond Blade, hacking through monsters, demons, cosmic messengers and the souls of the damned, until finally reaching enlightenment.'

I guess you're right, we all have our faults but not everyone has the power to turn those faults to true destruction like Steve. Most of us just stumble through life, making mistakes but hopefully learning from them."
