'Um, it's... origami?' Flint knows that Meepo will not be convinced, but tries anyway

Meepo doesn’t care about it.

”We should probably get out of the water… it’s not very clean.”

'Nah, I'm sure it's fine? I mean, what were ya expecting, five-star swimming pool? It's never made me sick, not that I've been building up immunity my whole life...'

“ Lad, I’m a kobold, we never get five stars for anything!…”

Meepo thinks for a second.

”Why don’t we explore the sewers? There could be some cool stuff down here.”

'And I'm a half-elf, yet somehow I wound up spending my entire childhood and some of my adulthood living in the drains! Yeah, sure, let's go explore. Anything in particular ya wanna see?'

“No, not really… But we might find somethin’ cool!”

'Yeah, we might! Ya not squeamish, are ya? D'ya mind dead rotting bodies?'

“No, not squeamish at all!”

'Great! Now, I'm not saying I used to make a living looting the dead bodies that ended up down here, as well as just scavenging whatever floated by, but, I kinda used to do that to make a living' Flint grins crookedly, as he hauls himself out of the water and crawls off down one of the pipes

“I’m a kobold, I do the exact same thing!”

Meepo follows

'Awesome! I'm beginning to think we have a couple of things in common!'

Ahead of them in the tunnel, there is a horde of rats, seemingly fast asleep.

“Of course we do!”

Meepo looks at the rats and smiles.

Meepo takes a left and as he runs forward. The sewer begins to look older, and more primitive.

'Yeah! Ya know, it's not every day ya meet a fellow sewer rat! I say that, my wife did live down here for a bit, so I guess she counts as one, but still...'

Flint examines his surroundings, running his hand against the rock-carved wall

“What’s she like?”

As you continue down the sewer you see writing on the stones.

'She's amazing! So kind, and understanding, and funny! And willing to put up with my idiosyncrasies. Heck, we even had our honeymoon at the local landfill site!'

Flint tries to decode the writing.

“She sounds wonderful! You know, in kobold society marriage is a incredibly rare thing, most kobolds never get married.”

Meepo stops moving and looks at the walls.

”Wait, that’s draconic!”

'Yeah, she is wonderful! And no, I didn't know that!'

'Draconic? I wonder why we've got Draconic writing down here? I'm guessing ya can read it? What's it say?'

“Uh… The lair of Beithir” Meepo looks confused

'A lair? No way? Pretty sure the only people who have a lair down here is me, a friendly aboleth, and a couple of friends. I've never heard of a Beithir before? How could I have missed this?'

He stops to think for a moment. 'Oh yeah, I can remember why. Don't suppose ya packed an umbrella?'
