Death is not going to try to get out of the way of anything. He cannot die so he allows whatever happens to just happen.
A large amount of water drops on Death's head. And then a bucket follows.
Death stands there in drenched robes. The bucket clangs off his skull and bangs on the ground. Death slowly looks up at Gold, his skull face undiscernable. He grins an ominous grin.
Gold gulps
The Grim Sweeper, dripping with water, picks up your bucket and hands it to you with a skeletal hand. The bucket handle squeaks horribly in his hand. YOU DROPPED THIS, he says. He is still grinning a terrifying grin.

It is the type of laugh that finds lightning ticklish. Each laugh feels odd. As if it is carefully placed at the right time and space. As if he has studied man kind for a long time and is now trying to laugh like they do. He stops suddenly, but is still grinning. (Not that he has much of a choice.)
