 Malachi smiles cheerfully. “Woah! How did you get the rats to not run from you? I’ve been trying to feed them but.. they get skittish easily.”

'They've always liked me. So much that, when I had nobody else, they raised me as one of their own. Wait, that's not something a normal person would say, is it?'
