'Man, that sounds rough. I'm glad I grew up in the sewers and not the Shadowfell'
"That is something to be glad about. Unless they're the sewers in the Shadowfell, which shift around on their own and create monsters from filth and despair."
'It's a nice offer, and if I were in trouble, then, sure, why not? But not now. Not a huge fan of sea creatures. Give me the creeps. Ironic, really. Giant rats are, to me, adorable floofballs, but fishes are nightmare fuel'

"There are no windows in the crew quarters, and there isn't much to see there anyway. You won't have to deal with any sea monsters."
'I'd sure hope not. And thank you for the offer, maybe I'll take it at some point in the future. But I've been a sewer rat for my whole life, and I can't see that changing any time soon.'

'Who said anything about society? Society sucks. Nah, I don't mind my life. It's what I'm adapted for. Like, this guy's spent straight up months at a time without seeing sunlight. Sure, some surface-dwellers are pretty okay, but I'd never wanna be one of them. Whereas, I got a nice shady home, with plenty to scavenge, the occasional corpse to rob, and twenty million rodent buddies? Who wouldn't want that?'
