It’s hard to find footprints, but Caleb recognizes the wide strides of AJ through the smushed grass, leading up to the spot in the tree he likes to go to. After coming up to the pile of rocks, something.. unnatural catches his gaze. There’s a pitch black hole inbetween the rocks and the tree, though he wasn’t sure how he didn’t notice it before. It oozes out a sense of dread and it’s an unnatural color of black, like a void rather than a shadow.

He walks up to it and Studies it.

Investigation: 12

Caleb feels the cold, uneasy feeling grow. He smells death and decay.

He looks up from the hole.

”AJ?”
