He rests for a second, then begins again. This time, its a wooden pole. Chips are flying everywhere

I'm not a duelist, so I don't really know about sword stances, but Sam is giving *Ella, whats your character name again?* a lesson on defensive fighting stances. It's pretty good, though Sam is by no means an exceptional teacher.
