You are part of a small group of survivors just outside the decimated New York City. The settlement has been running low on supplies lately, and it is up to you all to save the settlement. What will you do? Will you try to start a farm of sorts for renewable food? Will you part ways with the settlement to look for something to bring back to help them? Or will you venture into the city of the infected, and face the runners, stalkers, clickers, and the dreaded bloaters? The choice is yours to make, it's your story to tell. 

*You can create a character of any humanoid D&D race. Certain events will happen over time, like storms, bandit raids, or encounters with the infected. The settlement is considered the tavern itself, though your character can venture out of the settlement to any location nearby. Feel free to suggest a nearby location and I will review it as well as put it up to vote for everyone here to decide. I will work on making a map of the area. Feel free to roleplay in any way that makes you happy, just try not to fight inside the settlement. Have fun guys! "Ugh all these Infected, really getting on my nerves."

A goblin, standing about 4'3", carrying a small-caliber handgun and a hunting rifle. His green-yellow eyes are wild. 

Will, a 25-year-old human, is standing guard at the gate. His black tactical gear is grimy but functional. His brown uncut hair is blowing in the wind while he chews on a toothpick. He holds an M4A1 carbine in his hands and is staring off toward the distant city.

"Oi, Will, what'cha see out there?" Leveth looks toward Will.

 "I've been seeing smoke coming from one building near the back of the city. It's been poping up on and off for the past week." His eyes narrow.

Leveth scampers off in the direction of the smoke.

 "Hey hey wait!" will calls after them, "your not gonna go out there are you? it's a solid nine miles away at least, and it's in the depths of the city. No way you can safely reach it, especially on your own."

Triley, a slender human, is there. He can't believe what he is seeing. 'Hey, you actual living humans out here?'

 "yep, welcome to the settlement"

'No actual way! I thought it was impossible to survive up here!'

Will hefts his gun, "Well we didn't survive by being helpless"

'Is that what ya think I am?' Triley grins crookedly

"well, if ya wanna change that, we're about to head into the city. Safety in numbers and whatnot"

'Into the city? I'm guessing ya don't mean in the subway tunnels and the rest of the underground infrastructure, do ya?'

 "Undeground? Hell no!, thats where the most of those things are!"

'Maybe so. But not in Cistern III, that's for sure. One safe haven amidst the darkness'

"Cistern III? never heard of it, though that's probably a good thing, less likely to get noticed by bandits"

'My point exactly. Just a few of us there. And no, I'm not giving ya the directions. You'd probably get lost trying to find it, anyway. Me, I've barely ever left it, only to go out to the forest to get supplies'
