"Well, true. But what happens when they die? There is truth in it. Because there are two of us here it is hard for us to forget each other so we can't be completely forgotten. Oubliettes work best when a single person is locked up by themselves. The barrier keeping us trapped will be weaker because we will remember each other for a while. The problem is you can't spend your time with those that would remember you, because you are trapped all alone here. Aside from me of course." Seymund adds, "The way to escape from being forgotten is to do something that leaves a lasting impact. Is there anything you can do right now that will make other people, specifically me, remember you for years to come?"
He thinks about it, "That just might work. Might as well give it a shot. Here is a simple warning: I am thousands of years old and have been trapped in oubliettes before. You need to leave a lasting impression on me to escape. I should be able to remember this encounter for years to come. If you think your song is memorable enough, then go ahead." He sits there giving you his full attention.
He sits there thoughtfully, "Well, you're not on your own unless you choose to be."
Seymund then stands up and grabs his bell off the ground. He then strides right past you to stand next to a wooden door that has suddenly appeared in the stone wall. He grabs the handle, opens the door with a loud creak, and holds it open for you.
Seymund nods. Before he shuts the door he stops and looks at the bell in his hand. Then he tosses it into the oubliette and shuts the door. The clatter of the bell ringing against the stone floor is cut short by the closed door.
You are now standing in a dark alley way. He leads you out of it and onto a main street again. "You are still trying to get to the cathedral, right?"
When you enter the house you find that you are not in the house at all. Instead, you are standing on a vast and empty plain. The ground is barren of all but a few blades of wet grass, and the sky is grey. Harsh wind bites your bones with icy fangs and off in the distance you see a short figure standing all alone.

He stops walking and turns his head over his shoulder to look at you, "What bell?"
He stares at you for a moment and then shrugs, "So do you still need my help?"
"Honestly I am just as new to this place as you are. I think the cathedral is safe, but some of these houses will probably work too."
He follows behind you.
The door opens at your knock.
*Sorry, I can't really come up with anything right now so if you want anything to happen inside it'll have to be your creation.*
*Sorry, I was busy*
