I have a really weird story idea, but I might try writing it sometime. It relates to this thread so I will post about it here to see what y'alls thoughts are.
So I will assume y'all know all about Athena's birth. She sprang from Zeus's head, fully armored and glorious. But how did she get in there?
A summary of that part of the story is that Zeus had another wife and he ate her when she was pregnant because he was scared of the child she would birth. I read an artist muse about how that wife probably gave birth to Athena in the realm of his mind. Athena grew up there before deciding to burst out of her father's head. That's why she is the god of wisdom, she lived in the mind of a god and so she is very familiar with the workings of the mind.
So what if there was a story about the early years of Athena's life. A book about her being raised in the alien landscape of the thunder god's brain. This is a god, so his mind is probably vast and intricate. There could be all sorts of strange monsters that live there. The climax of the book would be Athena deciding she is ready to enter the world and take her seat among the gods.
So what do y'all think? It's weird I know, but do y'all have any thoughts, ideas, criticisms, or feedback?

That’s really cool! I think she would see all kinds of messed up stuff in Zeus’s brain lol, but I would totally read that. Especially like emphasis on colors and morality which is how she gained her wisdom maybe?

The greeks and their pregnant men smh, making all modern Republicans shudder. How long until the Greek myths are banned in certain states?
Real actually

like modern day greeks have a sort of tan skintone, why wouldn't the ancient greeks have that too? Why do they have to be white proto-british people?
That's just how the other Europeans depicted them in their art. They weren't actually that color. Similar to how Jesus is portrayed as a white dude with long hair when in reality his skin was much darker and the men didn't have long hair back then.
I've always felt closest to Hades therefore he's my favorite of the Greek Gods. That being said, I love the version of Ares from Hercules Legendary Journeys/Xena Warrior Princess.

That does sound like a metaphor for wasting your time doing something impossible. But I don't think it is an "official" saying.
