Hi Everyone! I’d like to join the Spider guild, but I didn’t know if there are any requirements or questions to join :3
That was probably a stupid question but Idk
One of my “Inventions” since I haven’t really figured it out yet, is a boxy high caliber handgun that is the size of a typical iPod. It’s not really evil but it’s an idea.
You're almost there! If you could maybe just flesh that out a bit, so I can count it as a proper idea, then you can join!
Nice. I’m going to do a D&D magic item instead.
So, Imagine a nice necklace. Pretty nice, no? What seems to be just something perfect for a night on the town is much worse.
This Necklace, is actually a magic item that can cast Blight on it’s wearer, once every few days. So that means every 3 days, the wearer suffers 8d8 necrotic damage.
If the wearer tries to cast detect magic on the necklace, It is seen as a non magical item, from Arcanist’s magical aura spell until dispelled.

Is the wearer aware that the necklace is doing this? Can they remove the necklace if they want to?

I don’t think they would really know it was doing that to them, since it is non magical through scrying magic.
They can remove the necklass but it would be day to day wear.

“That would definitely help. And that tendril on your desk is going berserk.”
*Gtg. Bye! See you later.*
*Arrivederci! See you later!*
"The what? There shouldn't be anything on my desk that's moving... or alive, for that matter. What is it?" You can sense panic in Yvonne's voice, and see that the tendril is inching ever closer to the edge of the desk.
Rowen casts Hold Monster on the tendril.
The tendril stops moving, simply too weak to even attempt breaking free of the spell.
Rowen reports this to Yvonne.
"Okay. Wait, does it have a label or something on it? If that's what I think it is..." Yvonne seems concerned.
Rowen checks the label on the tendril.
*Probably gtg soon but if Yvonne replies I’ll respond when I get back.*
*Works with me. See you (read you?) in a bit!*
There is a small label on the jar, with text written in marker that reads: "Telal Specimen #005: Tentacle Sample"
“Telal Specimen #005: Tentacle Sample,” Rowen says to Yvonne.
You hear Yvonne's panicked breathing on the other side of the sending stone. "That's not meant to be there. Somehow, it was taken out of Containment, but I have to authorize that... the simulacrum must have... Someone needs to stop that thing from doing whatever it's trying to accomplish."
“Also, now that I have this tendril paralyzed, where can I put it so it won’t escape?”
"Destroy it. We can't risk leaving it to its own devices." Yvonne seems even more frantic. "Antimagic should be able to destroy the simulacrum: Dispel magic would be easier to use, but might not work. Good luck, and may the gods have mercy on us all." You hear Yvonne's voice cutting out, and after a few seconds there is nothing but static.
But then, that static crackles. You hear some kind of labored breathing through the noise, and three words. "...What... ...are... ...you?.."

Cool! I think I’d lean more towards the rp but I enjoy the other stuff too. Especially engineering and D&D inventions.
Yeah! Anyone's welcome to join the rp at any point.
I think I’ll let Woods and Yvonne continue that by themselves. It might be cool for my character to open a blacksmith and have stuff happen around that premise.
