There's a creature on the edge of the forest, just sorta watching the townsfolk

 Theren walks away from one of the stands carrying medical supplies. He mutters something about a wounded animal as he passes by her.

There is suddenly something looming behind them.

 She curiously follows, not saying anything

They flinch, drawing their sword as they turn

 Theren goes to a field where a wounded deer lays with multiple arrows in it. Theren speaks soothing words as he lays out the supplies.

A big mushroom person coos happily. "new friend!" *look at pfp for what they look like*

 She hums in minor amusement

It sighs and shushes the mushroom

 Theren removes the arrows and starts to bandage the wounds with expertise.

"new friend?" it whispers

 "You certainly are good at helping things " she says, leaning in a tree

It sighs then nods, "Yes, fine. But don't alert people to me."

 Theren jumps slightly then looks up at her. "yeah, I do. everything living deserves a chance." he says, tying the bandage tightly.

"yay!" it whispers. It then places a flower crown on their head.

 "Besides nobles." She mutters

The wight just sighs and continues observing the town

 Theren points a finger at her. "You shouldn't push people around because of their status. Dont use your birthright to bully others."

The mushroom watches him.

 "Be born useful." She shrugs, "That's how the world is. The strong and powerful rise above and the weak cower."

They just seem to be watching the guards and jotting notes periodically

 "But sometimes those who look weak are the strongest."

"Planning to hurt?"

 "True. Meatheads won't always win. Sometimes those who are intelligent will" she smiles

"Hm. Not unless the master tells me to."

 Theren helps the deer stand up as the deer walks into the forest. "Do you just live your life to insult people?"

"Who is master?"

 "No, but I find you particularly enjoyable to mess with. It's cathartic" she says simply

"Not someone you mess with. They raised me in my current life, and if he wants this town, there's not much to be done."

 Theren rolls his eyes and starts to clean up the supplies he bought.

"But...why hurt people. They done nothing.."

 She stays where she is, smiling at the situation

"An order is an order. Most people in a fight are innocent."

 Theren tucks the supplies in his bag. He then looks at her. "Can I help you with anything else?"

"But....people are nice here..."

 "Hmmm, got any food?"

They just shrug
