It has lots of burn marks, like the ones he got when the goo attacked him, except the deer’s are far worse, at some points revealing bone. He hears a rattling behind him, and the shriek of a small animal.

"Dang it. Shouldn't have come out in the dusky-dark." He begins to back away but then he stops, "Shoot a monkey, I need that squirrel."
He looks at the skeleton, then back up at the tree, then back to the skeleton. Suddenly he darts forward, whips off his hat, and throws the bones into it before turning and high-tailing it out of there.

"Ow" he groans as he struggles to his feet. "Now, you've caused me grief ye blinky booger, and I'm fixin' tuh retaliate, so ye better back off, ye hear?" He looks around for a big stick.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Jeremiah picks it up and grips it tight. He waves it a little like a baseball bat, and then swings as hard as he can at the monster. He then begins to sing:

The squirrel drops back down. Or well, what’s left. In a matter of seconds, it was reduced to a skeleton by whatever is above them.
