I don't know if any of y'all like historical narratives, but I just finished Undaunted Courage by Stephen E. Ambrose and it was pretty good. It is an account of the Lewis and Clark expedition, and its almost a biography of Meriwether Lewis's life. I liked it and it makes me want to make a Dnd setting set in a world similar to post-revolutionary war America.

Have any of y'all read V is for Vendetta? The main character is my current profile picture. Some consider it to be one of the greatest comics to ever be written. It's about an artistic anarchist who works to overthrow a totalitarian British government after an almost apocalyptic world war. I am a big fan of comics and this one is really well done. I don't recommend that people under sixteen read it though because it does have a few inappropriate scenes but it is much less inappropriate than Alan Moore's other stuff.
I am using V as my profile picture for November because his "catchphrase" is "Remember, remember, the fifth of November." I might keep it for a little while longer though, because I really like it.

Yup. That is who the main character is based on. Have you read it or did you get the historical reference?
I am currently working my way through Warbreaker, by Brandon Sanderson. I loved the Stormlight Archives and thought I would give this a try. I love the story but am less in love with the magic system of this world. But the characters, as always with Sanderson, are superbly written.
Also, I have added all the recommended readings in this thread to my list. <3
very cute cat also...
!!! LETS GO A SANDERFAN!!! *gets shushed by librarian* sorry about that. Brandon is definitely my fav author. A shame that you don't enjoy the magic system, but when you see what it's up against... yea. I have read everything Cosmere as well as the Reckoners and The Rithmatist (Oh, except for White Sand pt 3, but once I get my hands on it...), I am currently reading the Skyward series. Have you read Mistborn Era 2 btw? If you like we could take this to PM's if you don't want to spoil stuff for The_Summoning_Dark and other potential readers. Yeah I get really really enthusiastic about this stuff.
My cults are dead, let's talk about myself where they used to be. I am The_cool_Elsecaller, a transfem lesbian who is still in the closet to all but a few people I know IRL. I enjoy video games, reading, writing, and sleeping. Feel free to PM me if you want writing advice or just want to talk.

Have you guys read the Game of Thrones book series? The first three books are great, the third book is one of the best I’ve ever read, but then books 4 and 5 went really downhill.

I really like D&D, especially Ravenloft, Exandria and the Upside Down from Stranger Things. My pronouns are she/they (genderfae).

Have you guys read the space trilogy by C. S. Lewis
"Now unto the King eternal, immortal, invisible, the only wise God, be honor and glory for ever and ever. Amen" - 1 Timothy 1:17
That's one that I really want to read but haven't yet.
I have a really long book list.
Anyone read the school for good and evil? It’s really good.
Oooh yea, loved it.
I also... watched the movie...

I would just like to say WTH was Soman thinking when he said that was cool.
