She studies it for a moment, before deciding to leave it alon, no knowing what disturbing this offering could wrought. She would return to the main room, realizing their so only one passage left.
She sees the last passage is slightly illuminated, as if whatever lies there is glowing. Hard to make out details, the passageway is at least a hundred feet long, but it seems to hold some sort of shrine.
she slowly makes her way down the passageway.

It begins to draw another one of these monsters. Then another.
“Oh….um…. “ It watches until it finishes.
It draws another, and another. Zeon doesn’t think it’s going to stop anytime soon.

It stops, and it nods. It draws the flame again and a dotted line weaving around the monsters and to the flame, then back again. It wants to avoid them.

She sees a small shrine made of both stone, and the roots of the great tree. It’s a structure around 5 feet tall and 10 feet wide, slowly getting higher with five steps, but getting slimmer with each step as well. The first and lowest step contains more bowls of fruits and foods. The second contains jars of honey. The third is filled with candles slowly burning like little stars, with a spot in the middle of them of an oil painting of Herionidus, smiling and decorated with skeletal facepaint. The fourth step is instead full of carvings showing his achievements and his creations in his life, beautifully crafted from stone and wood. The fifth and final is a bare stone slab, with a single petal-less flower laid on it. Some of its petals are laid around it, but not nearly all of them. The flower resembles the one on the cover of the book she read.

“hm…what does this all mean…” She mutters to herself as she admires all the mementos and offerings, gently gliding through the passageway..
As she gets closer to the shrine, it becomes apparent that while there are lit candles, most of the illumination is instead coming from the flower. It’s something magical… a true artifact, she realizes.

She is surprised to see such a thing here. She had figured that a Wills artifact would be lost without them….is this a falsehood, or was his power that great….

The flower almost seems to realize she’s there, it’s magic reacts and fluctuates in her presence, almost as if it was activating somehow.
(this flower, which of course was Herionidus’ true artifact, is probably among the most powerful items in existence. Like, top 5 at least. Top 5 would probably be Herionidus’ flower (the deathbloom), Then Cogintius’ spear and Faltros’ Sword, and then the swarm’s net, though they haven’t been active for a while, and then the crown of Slaughter. I haven’t actually statted out the flower yet, but I may do so soon. It’d be on par with the eye and hand of Vecna, wand of Orcus, and the book of vile darkness.)

She notices and stills, observing. She isn’t sure what to make of this item, it’s power far beyond hers. She tries to sense the sources of its power (domains), and gauge hostility.

It’s sources of power and it’s domains and it’s dominion over them become extremely clear when she looks: Decadence, revelry, wild, Grave, and Peace. The plant begins to shiver slightly, reacting to her presence. It’s petals move slightly as well, swirling around it.

Her desired ascension, the path to reaching her own potential, she wishes to give peace and joy to the living, dead, and the undead alike, even in the darkest corners of the world. She wishes to beginning a cycle that could allow those that perished unjustly or too quickly to have a chance at new life, either through rebirth or through peaceful undeath.

The wind whirls around the flower which flies upright, hovering an inch above its pedestal. Its petals are rotating around it even faster now, orbiting around it like miniature moons. A golden magical energy swirls around the flower, leaping out around the room in tiny arcs and bursts.

She observes, trying to see if she can determine what is happening. If this is a safety measure, surely she would have been harmed by now. Is this artifact acting in her presence due to sensing danger? Or just the presence of another will.
*Me: what am I doing, this thing could explode and kill me. Intrusive thoughts: do it do it do it do it*

It doesn’t seem to be acting to harm, not yet at least, but instead just seems to have been activated or awakened by her presence. The petals continue to swirl and float, closer to the flower now and seeming like they might reattach to the flower at any moment.

Curiosity getting the better of her, she would move closer, hoping her reflexes are good enough if she is making a big mistake. A shadowy tendril would reach out, not touching it yet but seeing how it reacts.
