Both Locust and Szerucharz, the other two Overgods, have allied with us, so guess who's left?" He smiles cruelly.
"He seems normal whens he's out. I would theorize either he's in a state of temporary paralysis, making him not remember anything during the day, or he just goes who knows where."

“But these humans…these pitiful creatures. They do not deserve this.” I say, looking at the people gathering around us. From someplace unbeknownst to you, I pull out a golden chalice. I cut my hand with a knife and pour blood into the cup. I kneel down next to a human,
”Drink this, and become something more. This is the Mortal Cup. It will turn you into one of the Nephilim, tasked with fighting in the War That Never Ends. Fighting to create order and peace in a world with so much chaos. Drink, and follow my lead.”
The frightened human takes the cup tentatively and drinks from it. Seemingly nothing happens. Then the human’s eyes flash gold,
”You shall be named Jonathan. Jonathan Shadowhunter. The first of the Shadowhunters, one who cuts away the darkness”

*I'd say like typical medieval roads, paved with cobblestone*
"You're welcome. So I take it the experiments have been going well?"
A warlock behind him (the Seventeen tend to follow Faltros everywhere) pipes up. "And Faltros made a big, scary monster too! Red and scaly, ominous, breathes fire, the gods will be running in fear! He calls it a dragon."
"Yes, I did." Faltros looks proud. "If we can destroy the defenses of Cogintius's city we shall overpower it with ease."
*Okay.*
"Is that so?" The Swarm pauses, thinking.
"That gives me an idea... Have you heard of goats, and lions?"
*Chimera time (maniacal laughter)*
"Yes, what for? Lions I appreciate, they're strong and fierce, but goats aren't that strong or smart."
"They may not be the strongest or smartest, but they are stubborn. This is why, of all the old-world creatures, I have chosen them for my next experiment."
"I will, however, need a dragon's head. That is all I ask of you, and in exchange, you will receive the finished product."
"I can't offer the one I made. Need it for the big event. But have a replica." He waves his hand and a living dragon head and neck appear.
"Why, thank you. We will begin work at once." The Swarm lifts the head, and flies to the Hive.

Macchino sits by his work. The torso is mostly complete, and now he's working on the head, fiddling with a variety of crystals and bits of polished metal.
Phillip the inventor approaches him. He’s a short human with round glasses and black hair.
”excuse me, I’ve heard that you are quite the skilled… mechanic?”
"Indeed I am, for I am Macchino, God of Invention. What do you seek, mortal?"
“I need help figuring out how exactly I should make a machine work… I have the basic layout and some stuff figured out, but it’s incomplete and I don’t have enough knowledge of how the world works to do it by myself.” He hands them blueprints of an enormous building, hundreds of stories tall, with complex machinery and twisting hallways and rooms. Some parts are partially blank, and there are notes saying what they are suppose to do but how they don’t know how to do it. It seems like what it’s trying to do is possible, just very complex. It seems to be some sort of enormous calculator.
"Ah, a mechanical mathematical machine... Very ambitious, for a mortal..."
Macchino begins sketching in even more complex arrangements of gears and springs in the blank rooms, and making slight edits to the pre-existing rooms inorder to accommodate his additions. Within minutes, all the blank rooms are filled in.
"Now... Is there anything else you need from me?"

”This is the Gray Book and a stele. This is a small portion of the language of heaven. Do what you will with it.”
He acts like it wasn't, you know, the best food he's tasted. "Good."
"Peculiar. Perhaps it has become a sort of afterlife, and he is the Lord of it?"
