Each of the coffins are made of stone inscribed with each of their names (not gonna type it now, I can if you’re curious though) and with some variation of, “Rest in peace.” The coffins are dirty, stained with blood, and smell like a mixture of rotting corpses and fresh roses.
inside the first coffin, no vampire, but a bunch of flowers lining the sides and preserved fruits in jars, also at the sides to leave room in the red cushioned coffin for the body.
The white ravens begin to scratch and tear the cushions and flowers inside the open coffin, and pecking at the jars
The ravens, as they damage the fine coffins, are met with a sort of… necrotic magic that leaps out at them, invisible but very present. It fades but suffuses inside of them.
The Raven's, beings of arcane construct, cast detect magic on each coffin that opens up, the runes on there bodies growing from the influence of the energies and secrets that each reveal. A couple of others watch from a distances, while others still travel through the rooms, collecting up the knowledge and secrets in the tomes, carvings, lingering magics, and offerings left behind.
They are being collected and catalogued.

They learn some neat stuff:
Herionidus was to be buried in his cherry wood coffin at dawn and dug up and released at dusk every day, after which they would then have a celebration as he conjured a feast.
The River Herionidus must be kept clean and polluting or damming it is unacceptable.
no harm shall come to the spirits and undead of the valley, as they are there to enjoy an eternal paradise.
In order to honor the great King, Honey can only be consumed after the sun has set.
The rule of hospitality: to honor the eternal Reveler, if another person, regardless of who they are, asks to share food with you, you must comply.

The fifth coffin is similar to the fourth with the garlands, but instead of a blood splatter there is a golden locket in the shape of a heart, resting on the pillow. The sixth coffin smells quite nice, and contains not bottled fruit but incenses and perfumes. The edge of the coffin contains scratch marks from the vampire’s claws.

*sorry, their separate books in the same room about different topics*
gonna do the banquet of travesties first:
It details the creation of Tarcza and Zarznac, twin horrors of the night. After Cogintius’ selfish and evil act of cursing hundreds of humans into the forms of gibbering mouthers, the humans were scared. The godless ones were formed, and they tried to fight back against the gods. But a sect of them didn’t want to fight back: they just wanted safety. So they traveled to the valley of Herionidus to ask for help: they needed ingredients, rare and delectable, to prepare the most decadent and horrible work of art the world will ever see: the Banquet of travesties. Herionidus, angry at Cogintius for this horrible act, complied. They retreated underground with the materials they needed and started work on the banquet. Then, they feasted. A day later, a castle sprung up in the wastes, and the people had a new safe home, and two protectors that will do anything for them. Herionidus was then sealed into his position as the patron god of humans, the protector of all civilization, for as long as he would live.
the coffin of Herionidus radiates such power that the Raven is now under the effects of the confusion spell, before they even land on it.

*which one? Herionidus’ or one of the Vampire’s?*
*Herionidius’s*
*The ravens were scratching at the vampire's coffins, but don't stop her when she goes for the big man's*
*oh wait no i didn’t know that. in that case she opens the vampire coffins*
*i am always curious*
“Odd. I do hope they’re not all hiding in one coffin. That would be rather absurd.” Savut moves to the next coffin.
*the First two read Almund Serce and Alton Kość, and the middle one’s name is Margaret Cromwell, then Abigail Starchild and Alexander Pencroft.*
*also lol*
the second one has exactly the same stuff, but the arrangements of flowers are different: Almund’s is whites, then reds, then blacks, and Alton’s is Whites, then Yellows, then blacks. Nothing else is different.
“Perhaps this is some variety of code?” She opens the third coffin.
*i feel like these are the names of authors or something but i looked them up and nothing*
Third one has different flower arrangements as well, with the middle flowers being a dark crimson instead. In addition, lying in the middle of the coffin is a set of three silver knives, all drenched in fresh blood.
*the first two, I came up with their first names without any inspiration but their surnames are both words in polish, forgot what exactly but it’s something like flesh and bone, and then the other three are what baby name generators are really for. Although I did go to a separate site for the last names, medieval surnames*
*cool*
She examines the blood on the knives. Investigation: 24
It’s not Herionidian. Or well, it was… it’s fresh, but it’s not from a living creature. It’s from one of the vampires, possibly the one that the coffin belongs to.
“Then they most certainly have not left the valley. Or, they have some means of quick passage in and out.” She opens the fourth coffin.
*hold on I’m silly there are six coffins, last one’s name is Marie Aldrich*
the fourth has purple flowers, and along with it and the preserved fruits, there are weaved garlands of grasses and plants lining the walls and pillows. Barely noticeable, a bit of blood splatters the inside of the coffin, while the insides of all the others are pristine.
Savut is clearly on edge, and opens the final two coffins.
The fifth coffin is similar to the fourth with the garlands, but instead of a blood splatter there is a golden locket in the shape of a heart, resting on the pillow. The sixth coffin smells quite nice, and contains not bottled fruit but incenses and perfumes. The edge of the coffin contains scratch marks from the vampire’s claws.
a sort of dark presence surrounds the room. Thicker than even the darkness, it is almost sickening. No, it is sickening.
She gathers the stars around her, looking around. "Reveal thyself."

The Raven collects all this and anything else in that room, while another flies into the Banquet of Travesties room and the Great Plan of Herionidus room.
The Ravens in the room with the coffins stay and peck at the flowers, collecting the information of the names, flower colors, and items within. One raven lands on the Coffin of Herionidus itself.
*It's all good.*
The confused raven tries to fly away and ends up hitting a wall.
The other ravens continue to look through the books.

No news is good news…
I'll lay a white rose on the cold earth, knowing it that it has not claimed your soul.
The vampire coffins emit intense, uncomfortable necromantic energy. The coffin of Herionidus, even closed, does the same, but it’s more divine and pleasant, and actually somewhat intoxicating to the ravens.
the ravens flying into the library get to learn about these topics, just tell me which one you want to explore first! The Banquet of Travesties, the great plan of Herionidus, and the laws and practices of Herionidus’ people.
*The laws and practices*
