Anyone that is near the Hive City can see a ritual being performed by a vast crowd of humans. They use small flames to burn patterns in their skin, chanting in an overlapping buzz.

Cogintius has once again risen in power. He creates small effects around him for dramatic effect as he rises into the next tier. These lights fade after a second, but he can feel it. The Arcana Domain now is part of Cogintius's power.

Faltros has reached new powers as well. However, he plans to use it for much more malevolent purposes. Everywhere he walks, people feel more aggressive. They want to pick a fight with the nearest person to them (although Fal's aura of fear from Fear Domain keeps them back, causing them to primarily go for other mortals). Several minor skirmishes start, multiple small injuries. More peaceful ones (especially followers of the M.O.O-- Mythos of Order) begin going into long-winded debated and arguments. When Faltros has passed, these feelings of hate are gone. Faltros has gained the War domain, and is now Demon of Aggression as well as fear.

Raegus is building a temple for himself. There are no walls, only incredibly detailed ornate pillars made of white marble with gold veins running through them. The ceiling is entirely glass, allowing a view of the stars above. The floors are covered in magical tile, it's pattern constantly shifting. The spirits of his followers, and even the spirits of loved ones of followers he's taken upon himself to protect, wander around it in serenity and comfort. Occasionally, Raegus takes some of the spirits and goes down to the earth, invisibly bringing comfort to those who have lost much with the ones that loved them in life.

Out the back, a huge walled garden appears. In it, small headstones are placed. Not to mourn death, but celebrate life. On them, the text changes every few seconds, showing the person's greatest achievements in life. Afterwards, all manner of flowers begin popping up throughout it.

The Swarm is gathered in the air behind a strange, oval bowl of dark stone, about 7 feet by 4 feet in size. Gathered below the podium that it sits on, sits a large gathering of followers; Remnants in the back, new inductees in front.
They begin to chant, as a follower bearing the marks of a Remnant walks forward, and ascends the pedestal.
A rite has started.

As they reach the base of the pedestal, the follower reaches into a pouch, pulling out a stiletto dagger with a ruby-eyed hornet on both sides of the small crossguard.
As the chant ends, the Chosen follower stands at the base of the pedestal, where the 12 Skalds of the Swarm await, bearing peices of armor and a pike.
The Swarm shifts and splits into 5 groups, forming an arrangement like the eyes of a hornet; 2 larger, irregular shapes (like a bean) with an inverted triangle of spheres above and between them.
In a loud, deep, reverberating buzz, the Swarm speaks to their Chosen follower.
"Approach, Chosen One, and be Awakened."

The Chosen follower begins climbing up the stairs of the pedestal. As they do so, the gathered followers begin chanting again, but this time it's different. This time, the words of the various overlapping chants have a different quality, a distortion that is inhuman, yet somehow natural, in a sense.
The Chosen follower reaches the top, and several hornets break from the Swarm to give them a skull, similar in shape to that of a creature from before the apocalypse, yet smaller. *It's a pony skull.*
The back has been cut to form a cup, lined with silver, and the hornets give the Chosen some final instructions before returning to the rest of the Swarm.

Moving forward, the Chosen follower dips the skull cup into the swirling, boiling, black and red liquid that fills the large basin, filling it with a steaming mixture of blood and oil.
As the chanting grows more intense, they drink the mixture, and begin carving new symbols and markings into their flesh.
After hours of chanting and carving, the Chosen is covered in open, partially cauterized cuts, forming a deeper, unique pattern. To finish the ritual, they put down the knife, and climb into the basin. The gathering finishes chanting, and all go to their homes. The Skalds leave the armor and weapons on the pedestal, and leave.
Thus, the first ever Champion of the Swarm, Arkran, has been awakened. After thirteen days, they climb out, and don the armor that the Skalds left on the pedestal.
