Music box has somehow found their old music box and is playing it. Like actually playing it instead of having it horribly start screaming.
Jack heard the sound and follows it curiously. "Ah, little one. It's you." He has a sad tone to his voice.
The creature’s voice replaces the song from the music box.
”you were there when I arrived here, correct? You tried to banish me.”
*also Carso, I’m making a little homebrew gift for you. It might involve “centaurs”*
*Oh, thank you. I'm going to die of fright in my sleep tonight.*
"Yes, I... I'd like to apologize for my actions, they were uncalled for. I only want to keep the crew safe, but I suppose I am a little high strung around these folks." He takes a seat on the ground and lets out a sigh. "My precious experiences with privateering left me a bit... I guess you could say traumatized... sorry to just dump all this on you, I just need someone to talk to. Is that alright?"

“It was the last song written by… I forgot… I know the person who wrote it… I can’t remember their name. It was originally written for their daughter, who went missing a week or two after he finished. He looked for her, sailed across the seas… I think. The memory is hazy, it was years ago and I could only gather so much from the object. I found it at a shipwreck.”
“Oh, so the captain knows him. As for fighting the old woman, that seems right up his alley. Thanks for your help.”
“Gladly. And about that form of magic, I really have no idea what you’re talking about, but maybe I could remember something.”
“Chronurgy. Time manipulation. I could look around your brain if you like. Never without permission of course.”
“Go ahead, dig around in there.”
He takes out a copper piece (this is actually the material component). “A penny for your thoughts?” detect thoughts
Sergei takes the coin and flips it. (A long time ago, in college, he read a book about Chronurgy. Not much crucial information, but he read about some main things you could do, including: pausing another in time, containing a spell frozen in time, and looking at possible futures that result from an action.)

A grin. “The cylinders, the ones you’re searching for? I lost two of ‘em. Prolly at the bottom of the sea now.”
He slams his fists on the table, throwing a tantrum. YOU IDIOT DO YOU EVEN KNOW HOW DANGEROUS THOSE ARE THAY COULD LITERALLY END THE WORLD
YOU JUST LET THEM GET STOLEN YOU STUPID (GP) WHAT IF THE EMPIRE GETS THEM
“Two isn’t that big a deal. There are, what, nine left? And how would the Empire reach them, anyways? These waters are controlled by the Koralline, and they don’t take kindly to intruders.”
Laughter falls to the ground, clutching his mask and shaking. Finally, he stands up and writes something on a sheet of paper. They can track each other. If we lose track of even one, someone is going to find it and use it to find the others.
The Captain’s jaw drops. “Oh. That, ah, isn’t good. I suppose we had better find the others, then.”
I have one. We can find the others using it. Unfortunately, water is the one thing that can keep them from detecting each other. Even rain will keep them from tracking. Those ones you lost won't be found for a while, most likely, so we can wait on those. The others are in New Zealand.
“Well, if we can’t find them maybe the Empire can’t either.”

Sylvi is studying a map while taking care of Tily, who seems to be a lot less active than usual.
Laughter approaches them. He holds out a note. Is everything alright?
“Oh… yeah, Tilly’s just a little under the weather. Happens every so often. But she usually recovers after a few days…”
He seems a little concerned. He clears the ink off of his note (Prestidigitation) and writes again. Do you need any help with anything?
“Well, uhm, you can do magic, right? Do you have any way to cure diseases?” She seems a little desperate.
He nods. He kneels down with his viola, casting Lesser Restoration on Tily.
Tily looks up at laughter, as the disease afflicting her is suddenly suppressed, and Tily gets up and starts tugging on Sylvi’s clothes, trying to get her to play with them.
Sylvi laughs, “Thanks, hopefully it doesn’t come back, this time.”

They'll be found eventually. If we're lucky, it'll be the Koralline. If we're unlucky, it will also be the Koralline, but the Empire will send mercenaries to get the cylinders back. For all we know, they could have been tracking them since you got them.

“Every few… weeks when the symptoms start up again, she has trouble walking and she gets very tired. One time four months ago, when me and Tily were alone in Italy… she just couldn’t walk or anything, and her fur started to become all gray- brown (Tily is a white wolf) and rough, and she refused to eat. It only lasted a day or two that time, though. They’ve been getting worse recently.”
