A few ragged people walk by, muttering things like, “I’d rather not see what I look like…” Or “I’d crack it.” 

Occasionally a higher class person will approach him and ask the price. I’m going to need a charisma check to let it out easy that this thing is going for 215 and up. If you succeed, I’ll take a persuasive check.

Most people are instantly scared away by the price, except for a few rich people who examine it but find that it’s a normal mirror and walk away. He’s gonna need a different approach.

He takes out two kits from his pack, one with many masks, paints, and clothes (disguise kit) and one with many small tools and knick knacks. He takes the disguise kit and makes a noble disguise, and then takes the tinkers tools to polish up the mirror and inlay a few artificial gems and such. "If you take my assistance, I'll be takin' forty percent of the earnin's. You will still have made a profit, and kept your pride, and I'll have a bit more coin in the pouch, it works out for everyone here."

“I had a very similar idea, Jeremia.” he then reveals a disguise kit from his pocket. “Now that there are two of us; I think two of us can get a pretty penny for this mirror. How about one of us goes out into the crowd and bids on the mirror while the other sells it to the highest bidder?”

I come up, sayin' things like, 'can it be true' and 'I thought there were none left' while examinin' the mirror closely and proclaimin' it an expensive relic and whatnot. Bidding just enough against another interested party to take it higher than it should ever conceivably be!"

A bit of his grumpish demeanor falls away as he smirks. " I can tell we're goin' to be good friends, you an' I."

Jeremiah takes the mirror and quickly polishes it until it shines, then takes a small sharp tool and engraves within it 'Juan de Malador premium stock' and a date (something old but not unreasonable, like maybe 70ish years ago or smth). He then takes some faux gems and velvet and things and applies them to the mirror.

*Gradius, how would we you rule this?*

*do we roll for making the disguises and fixing up the mirror? And if so, what ability would we use? Or just straight proficiency bonus?*

He takes a rock, about the same size as the mirror, and begins to shave it down until the two are almost exactly the same weight. "We take this rock, and do the good ol' switcheroo as soon as they turn the other way, leave, and sell it again in another part of the Bazaar. Rinse and repeat 'til we're satisfied."

*I’d say a deception check for disguises, two sleight of hand checks for the fixing and switcharoo. Although I’m a little busy rn with Arch making a horror thread, sorry.*
