in about 45 minutes i am pitting 2 first level noobs who didnt even manage to create character sheets on their own against 2 Cockatrices
Ummm when I first started I couldn’t make a character on my own either tbf, I would now if I had the starter set given to me first but be patient with them. That was the first campaign I ever played, very chaotically but I thought it was so cool. I have less fun with experienced DMs who do certain things- I hate when they constantly read long descriptions and don’t look at you cause they’re busy doing that half the session, breaks immersion and honestly I get less out of the long description from paper then a summary with hand gestures to describe places. Also the DMs who do sloggy combats, I love combat, it’s exciting when you care about you’re character and stuff, but sometimes you feel like it’s a fight that doesn’t matter and you can’t even be hurt by the 15 creatures you’re fighting and it’s just annoying cause you know you’ll win anyway
the one created a level 11 with first level hp and the other wanted a hexblade warlock with the pact features at first level and was trying to homebrew things because he did want to buy things
Hi there! My name's Elk. I'm NoiSilverheart's doppelgänger. I'm a demi/grayromantic, socially awkward Okie who may or may not be a pyromaniac. *random confetti blast*
I'm a warlock of the Archcrone, and my patron is TheFriendlyArchfey. I was nicknamed AchatesCervus8337 by VitusW and given the titles "Swashbuckling Scorcher", "The Unpredictable Jedi", "Burning Fury of the Ancients", and "Combustion Knight" by DrummerBoyDragonSlayer.

Everything’s free online.. like no joke alternative websites give it all. Unless you’re playing on here… I really would dislike that myself but I understand some people don’t mind it

Hey jester. How would you feel about an Undead/Unluck thread?
A thread that sounds UNparalleled. Ba dum cha. I apologize.
What’s that?
Anime, basically there are people with powers that allow them to Negate laws of the Universe, and they fight UMAs, which are monsters made from the laws of the universe. Like Spoil, which means zombies, or Undead, which means it’s user, Andy, immortal.

What does UMA stand for? Is Spoil an UMA or a negate thing?
Good to hear. I'm writin' a research paper over arsenic for a science project right now. It's soooooo boooooooringgggg...
That sounds like a thing to do. I need to write an essay for Monks about the material plane but I don’t know where to look to find stuff about said material plane!

I forgot what UMA stands for, but if something is a Negator, its name will start with UN, otherwise it’s a UMA.

UMA stands for Unidentified Mysterious Animal. Spoil is an UMA. If it was a Negator, it would have the prefix Un in front of it.

Wait. Are the UMAs the users or the word thingy itself? Like is Andy an UMA? And does Spoil create zombies? *sorry i can just search it up if you don’t want to answer all my questions8

UMAs the physical manifestation of a certain concept. Let’s use Spoil as an example. Spoil represents the idea of rotting, as it can cause things to decay, even become zombies. Negators are people who are exempt from that concept (which is technically called a Rule) as Andy is the Negator Undead, he gets to ignore the Rule of death, causing him to be immortal. And don’t feel bad having stuff explained to you. Nerding out about an interest is fun, especially when you get to explain it to someone who doesn’t understand it as well as you do

Huh. Cool. Sorry, I’ve just had experiences where people get mad at me for asking questions… I love listening/watching people nerd out though.
