Oh, I meant to clarify two people from each game, for a total of 6 six people in the big campaign. Or maybe 2 groups and the top three get in?
Edit: yeah, two groups and three people from each group seems like a better idea. Anything else we see that could be changed?
As for your point about it not solving the problem, Himy, how so? The problem is players who don’t mesh well with the style of games I run, so I introduce a system to not only encourage that, but also to filter out players who don’t quite “click” with my games. That way I don’t recruit people for a long term game then find we don’t really mesh well.
As for complicated, it is somewhat, but I’d handle most of it. All the players have to do is keep track of their points, say whether they’d be interested in joining the big game, then roll a single die at the end of the game.
If players don’t mesh well with your style, you could solve that problem by just making your dming style clear. Giving you players points does not encourage them to fit your style. It just encourages them to rp well and use their brains. And when I said complicated, I meant that you could achieve the same result with much less effort

O sorrow, I have ended, you see, by respecting you, because I am certain you will never leave me.
Ah! I realize it: your beauty lies in the force of your being. You are like those who never left the sad fireside corner of my poor black heart.
O my sorrow, you are better than a well-beloved: because I know that on the day of my final agony, you will be there, lying in my sheets, O sorrow, so that you might once again attempt to enter my heart.
Man, I’ve got so many ideas, I feel like making a campaign based on Bloodborne, one based on Dr Stone, and a few others. I hate having so many ideas I can’t do.

So do I!
i reeeeaaaallly want to make a campaign in the ghostfire gaming setting, the Aetherial Expanse, as well as Grim hollow. And now I also want to try running a game of Call of Cthulhu.

Those sound awesome, if only I could get a small group of people interested on here maybe I’ll be able to get a campaign started, but I doubt anyone would be that interested.

If I were to, ever in the near future run another game, balancing between my preexisting PbP and the one I just joined recently, which I don’t know if I have the time or patience for but might be able to do, would I want to do magic sparkly pirates, grim, dark fantasy with a plague, or try my hand at call of Cthulhu…

Jester, I may be interested in whatever you’re running! I know bloodborne is some sort of franchise that I know little about, but based on what I think I know, If you’d have me I’d love to join! (I also think I found a book for D&d related to bloodborne, steinhardt’s guide to the eldritch hunt? Or was that something else?)
So spend your hours on What you think I've done wrong I know I'm in your mind I've been here way too long I want to spend my life With those who've done me right Your heart is frozen over I'm a four-leaf clover

If you want to join that would definitely be awesome. It’ll be a bit more homebrew than eldritch hunt, most of the bosses will be homebrew with two phases and unique mechanics, including a unique insanity mechanic, but that would be awesome. You, Himy, and Coronet.

Yes, that is inspired by Bloodborne.

Yep! That’s the blood borne book. And Bloodborne is a kinda gothic body horror game, which is always a fun time

It’ll be a bit more homebrew, starting at level three, I’ll allow most homebrew if you just run it through me first. It’ll be kinda open world, it’ll be taking place in the city of Yharnam, as long as something can be explained or fits the setting I’ll probably allow it, and even if it doesn’t, if it’s awesome enough I’ll allow it. We will be playing with the rule of nat20s and nat1s being auto successes and fails, if that’s cool with yall.
