Right now I'm trying to write something "darkly comforting," like looking out a window on a rainy day in autumn as your partner brings over mochas and a big, dishtowel-lined bowl of hot popovers for you to share.
Like a fluffy crow landing on the table to your left as you read some Ray Bradbury at a cafe.
A sort of deep, gentle vibe. Not good or evil, just enjoying the crossroads, in a way. Sort of a gothic slice of life, in a sense.

I am Canadian, and yeah. I have been on DDB for a while, and the forums for one or two years. I do think it may be do for a username change one day; but today is not that day.
I'm sure at least part of it is to get ready for the Revised Monster Manual that will be coming out next month, since the early access for the book starts on February 4th. As to what else the maintenance was for though, no idea.
