I worked on my character for The Gods Must Be Crazy last night, and I rolled stats for them:
7, 8, 13, 13, 16, 16. Rolled in that order.
So that's two amazing stats, two abysmal ones, and two nice ones, right?
Enter the Worthless Husk background. Worthless feature (as in it is literally named "Worthless"), so all my scores are reduced now but I get a slow and steady boost to my ability scores up to a max of 18 unless I spend one of my regular ASIs to boost them beyond that.

I put the first two into Strength and Dexterity, respectively. I was thinking of making a character kind of like Genya from Demon Slayer, where he is, in-universe, due to his exemption from the standard power system, weaker and slower than pretty much any other hero. He gets around this with completely "unique" techniques though (at least unique to his group).
So this guy grew up in a very physical society. Issues were settled with hard work and occasionally fists. This sad boi was unable to do just about anything meaningful to his society. How he got around that is still unclear. Perhaps he learned magic or psionics, most likely from a patron. Maybe he's more of a technician, using tools and advanced weapons to his advantage. Either way would work.

I've decided to make my latest character similar to Thiollier from Elden Ring, a man who is believed by everyone, including himself, to be useless for everything except his poisoning skills.
I dumped both DEX and STR, so he's basically unable to function in melee. An interesting challenge!
Now I just need to come up with a particularly interesting way he does the whole poison thing (I have stats, I just need flavor), and where he learned how to do all this stuff.

I've already decided that this character is from a lowly background, and was seen as worthless due to his weakness and lack of skill in pretty much everything. Really, he's very intelligent, but he has a hyperfixation on... well, poison. Maybe he ended up tripping real bad as a kid due to an encounter with a venomous creature, resulting in his weakness and interest in toxins.
But anyway, how should I flavor Mr. Mustard Gas? There are a ton of different angles to approach this from, after all.
